A story of a giraffe's soulful change. Small & blue, Ginny is the only one of her kind on an island. She is ridiculed for her appearance and size by others & becomes shy and introverted. After she grows tall, she avoids derision & finds peace & solitude hiding her face within palm tree fronds. Despite her obvious physical challenges & differences, she forms an unlikely friendship with the carpenter, Pinky Pig. Ginny becomes his crane, moving tree trunks he has fallen. As her self-esteem rises, her colored spots change. Her joyous heart so illuminates the island, that her example inspires the other kids to see the light of change for themselves too.
