About the Author
Carol Martin lives with her husband near her childhood home and two grown children in Richmond, Virginia. For over 40 years, she has taught and been taught by children and youth and their circumstances. She began writing at age 10. She read her poetry at church and wrote puppet skits and songs for worship. Her first publication was in the Fairfield Middle School newspaper. Her sketch of John A. Broadus is housed in The Virginia Baptist Historical Library, Richmond, Virginia, The Virginia Historical Society Library, Richmond, Virginia, Broadus Church, Mechanicsville, VA and her personal library. Despite her diversity in writing, her preference is children's literature, picture books and middle readers. Her genre is Christian allegory.

This was a great book. The lighthouse is a example of how God works in our lives. I found it very inspirational and an exceptional read. Great for teenagers and reading groups.
