This little book on Mindfulness and Happiness is for beginners to help you become more stress free, less anxious, less depressed and enjoy more happiness. It will hopefully make you more aware of living every moment to the full. However, I have to warn you not to expect miracles. Although you can start your practice in small ways for example 5-10 minutes a day you might find the initial time boring or laborious. However, if you keep at it every day and gradually increase your formal practice to 20 - 30 minutes a day you will find a transformation that may surprise you. You will sleep better, have more energy, be less stressed, be more enthusiastic and grateful about life as well as more empathetic and compassionate. We will also investigate a number of tried and tested techniques in Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy that can actually help us improve our well-being as well as make us happier The main emphasis of this little book is to point out the findings of research that have withstood the rigour of 'controlled' studies.
