The Little Boy and the Old Woman by Jason Villalba

The Little Boy and the Old Woman is a timeless coming-of-age story about a young boy who, because of his natural awkwardness, has few relationships. The boy meets a mysterious woman in a park who shows him great kindness and who helps him to persevere through his struggles and make his way in the world. Their relationship lasts a lifetime before the boy discovers that the old woman may not be who she seems. Is she merely or warm and thoughtful friend? Or is she really his watchful and protecting guardian angel? Take a look and see for yourself!

About the Author

Jason Villalba is a member of the Texas Legislature, a husband of 15 years, and the proud father of Sophia, Elena and George IV. Although he is not a professional writer, Jason has spent hours on the rocking chair reading to his children and spinning stories of his own for their enjoyment. It was there that he discovered that the kids enjoyed their Papa's fables and fantasies rather than the ones from the library or bookstore. With the support of his wife, Brooke, Jason began putting some of his stories to paper. The Little Boy and the Old Woman was one of his children's favorites. It is the timeless story of friendship, struggle, patience and the power of kindness. Jason, Brooke, Sophia, Elena and George IV are hopeful that other young people around Texas and the United States enjoy the story as much as they have.
