CHAPTER 1
It was morning and all the clouds had moved on except for one little cloud, Cirrus.
Cirrus was ready for the morning. When he looked around, none of his friends or family was anywhere to be found. Cirrus knew where to find everyone, so he started on his journey to meet up with them.
Cirrus drifted along until he saw a farmer working in his field. The farmer had finished planting seeds and was in need of rain to help the seeds grow big and strong.
Cirrus knew how to make rain, so he tried really hard and he made rain for the farmer's field. Cirrus could see the little plants reaching up for his rain. He thought he heard them all sigh in relief! He smiled with satisfaction. He knew he had done a very good thing.
Cirrus was very pleased with the results, so he decided it was time to move along his way.
A short distance away he chanced upon a brother and sister playing outside. Cirrus chuckled to himself as he watched their antics. They raced and chased each other on a hillside. Suddenly, they fell to the ground, tired from their play. As they lay in the sweet smelling green grass, Cirrus thought of a game he could play with them.
He got closer to them and then he rearranged himself to look like a bunny. The little girl squealed in delight and pointed at Cirrus. Both children laughed at how cute the cloud bunny looked and kept watching as it moved across the sky. Since Cirrus knew the children were watching him, he slowly changed his shape to that of a puppy, then a lion, and finally a dragon!
The children would have stayed watching him forever, but their Mother called them to come in for their lunch. Slowly they stood up and walked home, but not before they had one last look over their shoulders to see Cirrus make one last change to a bear.
