You can never go wrong with Betty. I only wish I found her books earlier. They may seem rather mild by today's authors, but they brighten a day for me. The stories keep you reading and it amazes me to think she does it in so few words. Thanks for the entertainment by the re-issue of her best stories, this is one of them and if you like this one you'll love Cassandra by Chance.
