About the Author

Hans James Potter was born in 1933 in Capel, England, descending from a Danish / English background. Growing up he had a passion for literature and photography, and he served in the RAF in Germany during the 1950s as an official photographer. He then spent nearly two decades in Sweden working as the Scandinavian sales representative for an electric tool maker. He also taught at language schools using modern and innovative techniques before opening a school in Spain. He studied engineering at college and, later in life, took business courses at Warwick University before venturing a Swedish housing business in the UK. As he approached retirement, he focused on translating literature as well as collecting books and stamps. He was an amazing raconteur who liked to share his wealth of knowledge and lifetime experiences with family and friends. When Hans passed away in November 2011, part of his enormous book collection was donated to Westonbirt School in Gloucestershire (attended by his granddaughter).

Liam McCann was born in Guildford, England, in 1973. He attended Hurstpierpoint College and Staffordshire University, gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Physiology and Psychology. He excelled on the sports field, becoming county champion in three of the field events and swimming to a national standard. He went on to win a British University medal in 1993. Liam then formed a rock band that toured Europe. The group's highlight came in 2001 when they played to five thousand people. In 2003 he turned his hand to writing non-fiction sports and reference books. He has since had 15 published and is now working on completing an action / thriller series featuring hero Ed Sampson.
