The lonely traveller's Diary is the story of a Dutch guy, turning forty. He wants to escape everyday boredom and life-obliterating obligations. So he takes a mini-sabbatical and leaves. For three months he travels the Mediterranean. Looking for what? Love maybe, Roman history sure. He does find the best eggplant dishes and some peace of mind.
The lonely traveller's diary is not the story of a privileged naive American women. It is no Eat Pray Love. It's more like a 'Drink, Swear, Lust'. Anyway, it is a great story that will inspire the reader to travel.
