First person account of the historical personage known as Barabbas. The title is rather misleading, as it is more of an epistle, yet is a fictionalized rendering of the possible life of this man before he was accused and sentenced to death. The story is good and well written, and seems well researched in terms of first century Roman rule of the Jewish population and the politics involved. The characters are realistic and understandable. The remainder of the series should be fascinating. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

The Lost Gospel of Barabbas is an excellent read. The author has presented us with a moving novel that has a high plausibility factor due to extensive historical research. Part one of the trilogy covers Barabbas' early life to his marriage and subsequent attack on the Roman soldiers that let to his exile. I can't wait for the next installment in this trilogy.
