Love This Series The Lost Spaniel is the third novella in B. L. Blair’s Lost and Found Pets series. I love Ms. Blair’s writing style and she has once again succeeded in writing a wonderfully crafted whodunit that held my interest throughout the entire story. This well plotted mystery has a cast of well-developed and affable characters, and sends a strong message of caring and compassion. The story has enough suspects, and twists and turns to keep the reader involved. I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy a good, clean mystery. I’m looking forward to reading the next installment in this series. Alexandra ‘Alex’ Prescott loves animals and is the owner of Lost and Found Pets. Business is booming because a recent client, Grace Carmichael, started spreading the word about her services after Alex found Sammie, her family’s Savannah. When her former boss and mentor, Eddie Hill, contacts her about his missing Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Daisy, she drops everything to help him. Eddie, Alex, and Hero, her German Shepard who is a trained search and rescue dog, follow Daisy’s movements to an abandoned construction site and spot her sitting on the scaffolding. When they start moving toward her, someone starts shooting at them, and Hero is injured. From this point on, nothing matters to Alex except tracking down the shooter and discovering the reason behind the attack. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
