If you’re finding yourself spending more and more of your evenings at the good ol’ porcelain throne, it might be time to lower your intake of FODMAP’s. The Low-FODMAP 28-Day Plan provides tons of delicious recipes that are sure to make your tummy feel better in no time. The book helps you get started, explains just what a FODMAP is, and tells you what to look for at that circus we call the grocery store. So whip up a Meatloat “Muffin” and get reading! This time, just not on the toilet.

Empower yourself! This book provides a different focus for watching what you eat. With stomach discomfort, I've tried diets to limit gluten and have eatten paleo. This book is different because it identifies problematic foods, groups them, and then coaches you on eliminating  them from your diet for 28 days to cleanse your system. You get 28 days of recipes that do not contain the problem foods. Then, you start adding them back into your diet one at a time to test if you have a reaction. This way you can adjust your diet to fit your own body's needs.

When I think of dieting I think of a short term plan to lose weight. After reading this book, I think of a diet as a lifestyle choice where I can eat foods that agree with me! I suffer from IBS and there are certain foods that trigger it, but I never thought to eliminate some of my favorite foods like apples from my diet because they could be causing trouble. Milk and dairy yes, but certain fruits and veggies, no. This book provides a grocery list and a pantry list so that you can purchase what you need to make the recipes. The idea is to strictly eliminate foods that cause gas and IBS for at least 4 weeks and then reintroduce them one at a time. Track your symptoms and progress on the tracker sheet that is included and you will be able to pin point which foods upset your stomach. The only drawback that I can see is that it would be expensive to purchase of the fresh foods each time due to the high cost of food in some areas of the country.

This diet sounds a little bit like the Atkins diet, except you can eat gluten-free flour products like bread and pasta. It might take a little getting used to, but this diet doesn’t sound like it deprives you – you can still eat lots of normal foods. The recipes are easy to follow and don’t use many obscure ingredients, but I would eat a lot more of everything than they suggest.

This cookbook has an extensive selection of healthy options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  The 28-day meal plan provides a step-by-step process that makes it easy for people to transition to this diet. There are well-seasoned vegetarian recipes. There are also creative dishes like Meatloaf “Muffins”and Low-FODMAP Breakfast Sausage. The Garlic Oil sounds like the perfect garnish for salads as well as the Garlic Oil Potato Chips. There is a recipe for a classic Monte Cristo Sandwich that sounds great. The grocery and pantry list makes it easy to plan and budget meals for the week.

FODMAP or fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccardides and polyols, is found in many foods and these offending properties inhibit proper digestion and impede health. I like that this is an easy to read and follow in both the break down of education and in the 4 week diet plan. This book offers a very detailed shopping list for each week of the diet. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious! One of the best things about LOW FODMAP is it uses every day, easy to find ingredients. no voting buttons? We don't let custome

Looking at the title of this book, I had no idea what FODMAP is. But it was explained quite easily in this book. I like this books solution to IBS by taking out all the normal causes in your diet and slowly reintroducing one type of food back in at a time to find out how your body reacts. The recipes are tasty and simple to make.

FODMAPS: AFFECT DIGESTION Certain simple carbohydrates called Fodmaps are targeted in this healthy cookbook. These carbohydrates affect digestion, particularly IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). Great recipes along with a 28-day meal plan make this an excellent cookbook for persons affected by IBS.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. It was easy to read and very informative.  I have a gluten  and dairy sensitivities, so I am eager to try the 28 day elimination plan to see if there are other foods that do not agree with my system.

Excellently presented food plan for those with digestive issues. A 4-week plan with accompanying "symptom tracker" to identify how well you are tolerating the foods and the changes, with the ability to add in foods at the end of the 4-weeks to determine what can and cannot be tolerated and in what amounts. Only reservation is that, as with many other "specialized" meal plans, how to get your companions on board to either join or support your efforts. Well-researched and convincing.

If you have gastrointestinal suffering, this low FODMAP diet guide will help you. FODMAPs, basically carbs that absorb water and ferment in your cut, are strategically cut out then reintroduced in this four week plan. The book takes into consideration that it is hard, but does all the thinking for you in shopping lists and meal plans, so all you have to do is cook. Gastrointestinal problems are the bane of my existence, and I welcome this diet guide into my life.

Looking for a feel good meal plan?  Here you go.  This book contains pantry and grocery lists and specific preparation plans and recipes to keep your gut feeling great.  Of course the best advice of all came early on: eat unprocessed foods and make most of your own.  While I was surprised by the suggestion to eliminate apples, pears and beans, the plan is to eliminate all possible irritants and then add them back slowly to see which specifically irritate you.  Several yummy recipes and flavoring tips. This is a book I'll read again and again.

An absolutely great guide for people with IBS problems The book provides the reader with consistent information about the low-Fodmap diet (Fodmap=fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols). I highly recommend this book to all those who need to find some relief caused by IBS and other gastrointestinal problems. The detailed information, the tools, tips, and tricks to help people staying focused and to be successful while on FODMAP diet, the tasteful and flavorful recipes contained, the step-by-step meal plan, the instructions, resources, tools, apps, and references-all these are a good reason to have this book that could bring a huge relief in an IBS sufferer’s life. Great book!

I found this cookbook to be extremely informative. It begins by thoroughly explaining what FODMAPS are (small carbohydrates which cause bloating and gas, how to make weekly shopping lists, how to stock your pantry, as well as how to prepare low-FODMAP foods. Very educational and highly recommended.

This is an excellent, well-thought-out plan to help IBS sufferers eat the way their body needs them to. Eating low-FODMAP means giving up a lot of foods, but the four weeks’ worth of menus are full of a wide variety of foods, more than I usually eat anyway. If you’re interested in limiting your FODMAP intake, for any reason, I’d recommend this program.
