The book starts out pretty gripping despite the really really bad editing job. The other reviews tell you what the story was about so I won't elaborate on that. The second half of the book goes down hill fast. It read like it was written by a 12 year old boy with ADD (Attention Deficit Syndrome). The final battles involve many 'something-headed' people. For example, I think there were some Aardvark-headed people, some Antelope-headed people ect. It was really stupid and after I was finished reading it I threw it away and wanted the time that I had wasted on it back.

What a page turner. this was one that nobody should miss. More bloodthirsty than James Herbert or Richard Laymon. Faster (by far) and much better written than Stephen King and more controvercial than Dan Brown. This new author is a genius and i hope to read more by him in the future.

After a friend recomended this book i had a Hell of a time trying to get hold of a copy for my husband. He read it and raved so much about it that i read it when he had finished. Wow! What a page turner. Forget other horror writers and read this. Can't wait for his next work of genius.

The book begins with mankind practically wiped out by an epidemic (initially transmitted by birds)rather prophetic considering the onset of aviatic flu that is currently on the horizon. The Third Messiah (yes there have been two messiahs Jesus being the second) must marshal the survivors to battle against the four horsemen of the apocalypse in this vicious tale of Pestilence Famine War and Death.

i have just read this remarkable and contraversial book. The Lucifer Wars is a fast paced novel set in England (imagine the film 28 days later combined with constantine and you would have some idea of what it is about)very dark with no punches pulled. If you are a fan of stephen king or richard laymon then this book is definately for you.
