About the Author

Shaivi Patel, author of The Mad Science Mystery has many talents. She was born in Largo, Florida. Shaini loves writing, reading, craft and swimming. She is inspired by Nancy Drew and The Clue Crew books.
Writing a book was really tough at first, but she persevered. Now she is in love with writing and is a published author.
While attending full-time second grade in 2013, Shaivi took part in free 2-hour workshops offered every Saturday for two months, learning the art of writing and editing. She then survived a tough scrutiny by a panel of educational and publishing professionals that, in the end, named her one of two 1st through 3rd grade winners for her manuscript, The Mad Science Mystery.
From there, Shaivi began a 6-month long editing journey to prep her manuscript for publication. She officially finished on deadline with high praise from her Community Leveraged Learning editor, the historical fiction author Alex Small.
