In her third book in the Twigshire series, Ms. Light explores the depths of Blue Bottom Bay, the favored vacation spot for most Twigshire citizens. It's located a mere 50 snorks south of Twigshire and Frog Swallow Lake and was first introduced to readers in Book 2. This time, Ms. Light turns a whimsical view of the inhabitants of the deeps, their lifestyles, challenges and joyful existences. Knowing that her fans range from one and a half years on up to 102, she has filled the pages with her unique style combining watercolors and pointilism to charm the eye and expand the mind.
About the Author
Florida. She is both the artist and author for her works.
Judi has been a caricature artist for most of her life, creating black and white whimsy pieces which have been published as cards, coloring books and for private collections. She recently revisited her Wee Folk (who were patiently awaiting her return), with the added bonus of discovering the total joy of water colors. And that's when the Magic happened! Whimsical paintings and stories began arriving,
along with the wonderful village called Twigshire!
Many of her current pieces are now in the Permanent Collection of the Museum of
Art & Whimsy in Sarasota, Florida.
She is truly an artist who uses her creativity, realism, passion and artistry to make whimsical, touching, humorous paintings that uplift and lighten the soul.
Using engineering pens in a combination of line and stippling, then many layers of watercolor washes, she creates very luminous color and depth in her paintings,
making them seem to glow. As they are packed with detail, take your time enjoying each piece. Children often spy out things missed by their parents!
Judi says that "...the purpose of my art and words is to 'Ramp Up Your Happiness
Factor', possibly encourage some insight, perhaps impart a life lesson... and ALWAYS
to leave you smiling."
