A read that touches the heart... We get to see Deidra's story in this book. After losing her parents in a tragic accident, she goes to Hawaii to spread their ashes as requested. John Sinclair's wife had the same request, but it has taken him 3 years to finally find the strength to follow through with his wife's last wishes. While there, John, his daughters, and Deidra keep running into each other. Is fate trying to tell them something? I love how even though each main character is there because of the loss of a loved one, they find their hearts opening up within the others presence. The girls were wonderful secondary characters... they added so much more to the story! I truly enjoyed seeing Deidra find her HEA. You even get a little update with what is happening to Lecie, Deidra's best friend. Another great addition to this series! This book can be a stand alone read. *copy gifted in exchange for an honest review.
The Marriage Promise is book four in the Billionaire Games series. I haven’t had the opportunity to read the prior books in this series and I am someone who likes to read a series in order, but thankfully I did not have to read them first. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next as I found myself crying, then I’d start laughing, and before I knew it tears were rolling down my cheeks again. I found it to be an emotional story, so you may want to have some tissues nearby. Deidra Ferguson and John Sinclair have each lost someone very dear to them. They both promised their loved ones that they would take their ashes to Hawaii for their final resting place in the water and to say goodbye. Circumstances bring these two grieving people together, and as they spend time together they start to realize that the friendship they form is helping the other heal. But have their hearts healed enough for them to realize that they may have found the one person that can heal them completely? Or will they return to their homes left to wonder what could have been? I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
