About the Author

Andrea Harkins, also known as The Martial Arts Woman, is a martial artist, instructor, motivator, blogger, speaker, published author, and life coach. She strives to share her martial art vision and positivity through black belt concepts and life lessons, as an outreach to others.

Andrea has been training in the martial arts since 1989. She continues to teach, often for free, to mentor children and adults in martial arts. She and her family have been teaching their own martial art program at a community YMCA for the past seven years for youth, teens, and adults.
