It is wrapped in plastic before purchase and one cannot take a look at its contents if one chooses to buy from the store. When I bought and opened the book for the first time I was immensely dissappointed. Half of the (And I'm being literal here) book is made up of full page pictures relating to their respective milestones, the other half of the book are simply summaries of the respective milestones that (I find) fail to explain anything (not enough that would satisfy me). The first three milestones (or atleast 3 of the first 4) involve a monkey, a cicada, and an ant. Not at all what I expected in a MATH BOOK.If anything this is a book of fun facts. At best: a book of fun facts. At worst: A $20 paperweight  In my opinion it is not even worth the paper it is printed on.

a beautiful book richly decorated cover and color plates . the title on line looks sort of text book but i took a chance and couldnt be happier. You dont have to be a fan of math to enjoy the beauty of this book.
