The Melt Method is an amalgamation of techniques that bodyworker and somatic educator Sue Hitzmann has developed over the years. Note that this is not an exercise book, but about how to get the same kind of pain relief you'd expect from time with a skilled masseuse. The instructions are clear and well-written and easy-to-follow. If you've ever benefited from professional bodywork, but struggled to afford it, you'll be especially pleased with these simple stretches. I'm very happy this was recommended to me. That said, however, note this book expects more costs involved than just buying the book. Most of the recommended exercises rely on the exclusive MELT Method Roller and Balls. Hitzmann strongly warns against using a standard foam roller which is too hard. The cost is $40 each (unfortunately at this point they are back ordered for two months--obv Sue was a hit on Dr. Oz and other talk shows). In addition to the Melt Method, two other books that you may find helpful: Get Fit in Bed: Tone Your Body & Calm Your Mind from the Comfort of Your Bed and The Miracle Ball Method: Relieve Your Pain, Reshape Your Body, Reduce Your Stress.

Saw Sue On Dr. Oz show today, tried the simply methods that were shown on the show. WOW what a differents made just that little bit. Look forward to getting her book and getting rid of my life time of stress.

Sue Hitzmann obviously knows her field. The material in this easy to read technical book is well documented, useful, and relates to many other fields of physical health. I have tried the beginning steps outlined in her book and have been very impressed with the results. I was able to experience improvement immediately.

A waste of money, but maybe should have investigated book better. Saw author on TV and some small exercises for face that she did were worth looking into; but, those are NOT in the book. Too much floor activity for a person with bad knees certainly. Wait until book shows up at garage sale or Friends of Library sale and do not spend the money for new copy.

Its not about how well the book is wriiten its about the substance of the program and how it helps people live without pain. Sue doesnt claim to be a writer but she is the founder of The Melt Method and has shared her years of knowledge, education and findings of this program. Hands down it has given me the ability to get back to the gym, get back on my road bike and just live a painfree, primarily pain medicine free life. Thanks Sue!!! !

This book is so poorly written it is difficult to find about the melt method. The first 50 pages are repeating over and over how great the melt is without explaining it. A lot pages are spent on the authors background which is not very interesting. At page 60 you finally get to the melt method and charts are included you can not read on a nook and cannot make bigger. While the melt maybe beneficial,it is torture to try to figure it out through this book.what it is or how to do it. Reading this book is a painful experience. A good editor is really needed
