I do recommend this book if you are working to make positive changes in various aspects of your life, including waking up early. I purchased this book primarily for the reason that I wanted to start waking up earlier. What I have gotten out of the book is much more. I have been more productive than I have been in a long time and have cut down on my procrastination. The reason I give 4 stars (instead of 5) are a couple things I personally found irksome with the book. There are many times the tone of the book is very sales gimmicky. I don’t think there is any gimmick to it, but it just kind of feels that at the end of the chapter you are going to read, “and all this for 3 low payments of $19.95”. The other item that I personally felt a bit off-putting was the stress on 95% of people being mediocre. I think I understand the point he was making; however it was so prominent that it just started to feel a bit “holier than thou” at times. Personally, it doesn’t matter what 95%, 50% or 22 ½% of others are doing since you are in control of your own motivation and determination. However, I was able to certainly overlook these things (and they might not bother some folks) because I did gain a lot from this book. The message in this book is very excellent. He give great guidelines and tips for waking up early, clarifying your goals, and working towards improving yourself so you can improve your overall life. I have used this book to make some great positive changes in my life (in addition to waking up early). So I certainly recommend it to others!
I am really so happy to recommend this book. I have been practising The Miracle Morning every morning for five months now and find it remarkable. I've done spiritual and religious practises for forty years or more, trained with many teachers and been on plenty of long retreats. I'm glad of those but got jaded, left them off for a few years. Then a health crisis brought me up short. I wanted something again, but different. I needed something simple, with energy and PRACTICAL. Hal has brought it all together for me. He has an amazing grasp of deep things but is able to understand the practical, ordinary work-a-day world and how to bring them together. Read it, and DO it!
I'm going to continue my MM and start rereading this again right now!
Highly recommend this book to all. This book has changed my life by not only making me think differently about my future and current lifestyle but it improved my life by giving me a structured routine that not only incorporated good habits but makes me a better person daily. I continue to read it over and over again.
I am only a few chapters into this book and am so impressed with it. It is a good read indeed and so positive and uplifting.
Hal instructs and motivates us to find our own perfect start to the day through a logical set of habits and routines. Starting the day with purpose really makes a difference to your mindset and dedication to your most important goals.
Hal has an amazing story of overcoming the odds. This book got me out of te stand in life and on the playing field ! I have taken on writing a book because of Hal. The SAVERS has helped me wake up happy ! A must read!
