The Missing Link To A Prosperous Life: Your Local Church answered questions I didn't even know I had. I grew up in a family that believed in doing good because God doesn't like ugly and you can't get into heaven if you're bad. But beyond that, we rarely attended church, and even more seldom spoke of our religious beliefs. It was never a sour subject; it was just never brought up. This book was able to provide me with a tactful explanation of the church, the role of the pastors and other members of the church, how and why certain things are done (with supporting scripture), and a better understanding of my role as a member of the church. As I went through the book, I began highlighting passages: one color for scriptures, one color for the things that reinforced my beliefs, and one color for the things I questioned and things that I wasn't sure I agreed with. When I finished the book, I read it again. I found that just about everything that was highlighted in that third color began to make sense. They were things I believed, but because the position of the church and how it could affect my life was never explained to me, I misunderstood so much. You can't practice what you don't know. The Missing Link To A Prosperous Life: Your Local Church covers much more than it implies. I started reading it just after I found the local church I now call Home, and I believe that I am a better member, a better spouse, a better mother, and a better person as a result of the message I received from reading this book. Highly recommended!
