I don't understand why the name of this book is Monday Night Mistress. The book never really says Layla is an outright prostitute and she's not really anyone's mistress.....and I don't know why they threw Monday in there LOL. This book starts out in one direction but never really picks up the pace like you think it will. Close to halfway through it starts going a whole different direction. This was an ok read...could've been better.

Layla James is a beautiful promiscuous woman who has no problem getting any man she wants, one being the handsome Grayson Miles who happens to be engaged to her school teacher cousin Sofia. But as the affair gets deeper, Layla decides she wants nothing to do with Grayson any longer and wants to put the affair behind her. Grayson, however, isn't ready to let Layla go. This will bring on more than what he bargained for. Secrets will be revealed that will definitely have your heart and mind in a state of shock!! I loved Pamela D. Rice’s “The Monday Night Mistress.” It was well written. I could follow the story line very well. The author touched on subjects like infidelity, rape and incest, which are happening in everyday life. She chose to bring a touchy subject to the light in a book. I feel that this book could be a healer for anyone that has experienced or knows someone that has. I loved it. Reviewed by: Yolanda

This book turned out to be totally different than i expected.I am a firm believer that secrets really and truly destroy a annie tried to hold her family together.layla should never had crossed the line and maybe life would not have been so tragic for her and sophia.
