I wrote The Monster Who Ate The State so I am not objective.  That said,  this is a fun way to introduce kids to our wonderful state South Dakota.  Soozy the dinosaur wakes up in an ice cave at the bottom of an abandoned gold mine.  She's overslept for 65 million years and she is HUNGRY!  So she travels all over South Dakota looking for something to eat.   She tries to eat motorcycles at the Stugis Motorcyle Rally and nibbles on Mount Rushmore;  she eats part of the Mitchell Corn Palace and drinks most of Sioux Falls.  She misses her dinosaur friends but makes lots of new friends along the way.  I hope you'll be one of them! Whether you're looking for a gift for a South Dakotan kid  or a book for your grand child on the East Coast to introduce her or him to life in South Dakota,  this book has a balance of fun and info,  lots of watercolor artwork-  and LOTS of dinosaurs! A sequel is in the works!  Hope you like! Best,  Chris Browne
