Can there really be love at first sight?
Abigail Martin doesn't think so. Unless the sexy red-headed stranger she wakes up with the morning after her best friend's wedding is telling the truth.
Bobby Stockwood fell cowboy-hat-over-boot-heels for the brown-haired beauty, and married her in an impromptu wedding ceremony. Now he just has to convince his new bride that the morning after can be the first day of the rest of their lives.
But just when Abigail starts believing the fairy-tale is real, she finds out exactly who Bobby is, and the walls of make-believe start crumbling down.

Reviewed by Calantha Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book When selecting this book, I was craving a funny out loud- one- night stand novel and as I started reading it, I was half right. Abigail Martin is shocked when she wakes up after a wedding to find a naked man in her bed. Then she finds out she got married to him, and then learning more about who he is, I found myself wanting to continue reading more. And as it is a quick read, I was disappointed at how fast I read it. Brenda’s hook and her title really made me smile, as it does lightly infer to a real life marriage- how a marriage is more about afterwards, rather than then event it’sself, so I found myself chuckling at how Abigail is finding it hard to adjust that she is now married, and someone who is attracted to her. Bobby tries to tell her how they are great together, and when he gets fed up, he gives her space. As I continued reading, I wanted to hit her in the head each time she pushed him away, as this was a cute western Cinderella story and Bobby was a true prince. However, in any romance story, I prefer a hero that has more flaws than his occupation, and would have loved this novella to be a bit longer to make him less perfect. That one criticism aside, it was read with a willingness to read more about the other characters, in the Honky Tonk series. I look forward to checking out the other books. Favorite Quote: ” Her gentleman visitor wore only a bow tie and black socks”.
I enjoyed this book.
Reviewed by Trudi LoPreto for Readers Favorite "The Morning After" by Brenda Whiteside is a sweet love-at-first-sight short story that will make you smile. Abigail and Bobby meet at their best friend’s wedding. Bobby falls in love with Abigail on the spot. Abigail is extremely drunk and doesn’t remember much of the wedding celebration. The next morning she awakes to find Bobby in her bed and has no idea who this handsome man is or how he got there. Abigail is surprised and amazed when Bobby tells her that they also got married the night before and that she is the love of his life. Abigail is attracted to the handsome Bobby Stockwell, but unsure about the whole marriage deal. They spend some time together and Abigail becomes more and more attracted to Bobby but not without some pitfalls and concerns. Bobby remains true to his feelings and his love for Abigail never falters. "The Morning After" is a very quick read that will leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Brenda Whiteside has written a wonderful book for the romantic reader. I was hooked from the first page and stayed up late into the night to finish. "The Morning After" is ninety-eight pages of pure, cleanly presented love between two people that the reader cannot help but become emotionally attached to. Brenda Whiteside is truly a writer who knows how to please the reader. I highly recommend "The Morning After" to all women, young and old, who enjoy a good old-fashioned happy ending love-ever-after, make you feel good book.
Romantic Times Review There is only one word to describe this novella — adorable! While readers miss the couple’s “meet cute” the truth is that we don’t need to know what happened the first night they met because Abby and Bobby’s entire relationship is heartmeltingly sweet. This is a morning after that readers will not regret one bit. The somewhat introverted Abigail Martin is shocked when she wakes up the night after her friend’s wedding hungover with a man in her bed. The surprises keep on coming when Bobby Stockwood introduces himself — as her husband! Even though he is sexy, smart and charming, Abby still feels rushed into the situation. So she kicks Bobby out, only to wish he would have stayed. However, Bobby doesn’t take the rejection to heart. After a string of not-right-women, he knows that he has finally met “the one” even if she doesn’t believe in love at first sight. *Web Exclusive Review* Reviewed By: Dawn Crowne
