These 30 women, a band of mothers, and very talented writers have come together to bring us on an unforgettable journey through motherhood. As they bravely share their personal trials, tragedies and triumphs, each writer brings something beautiful and unique to the table. Motherhood is not for the weary and mommy meltdowns are inevitable. It is also a tough subject to talk about openly but these women do just that. They bare their souls and give us all permission to cut ourselves a little slack. I remember my first mommy meltdown and it was a terrifying feeling that left me guilt ridden and ashamed. This collection of stories lets us all off the hook by assuring us that's it's perfectly normal to experience a mommy meltdown and that it is possible to forgive yourself, accept responsibility and move forward. I really enjoyed the range of stories from mothering newborns all the way through to the teen years. This was a beautifully written, powerful collection of stories that truly warmed my heart and left me feeling blessed that I have been given the wonderful privilege of being a mother. Even in my most difficult mommy moments, I take comfort in stories such as these, because I know that I am not alone! Carolyn Coppola of Minivans Meltdowns and Merlot.
