As an English teacher and avid reader, I have read so many books that delighted me. This book however is without doubt the most delightful book I have ever read.

I bought this book because I've been interested in Irish Literature. McBride's writing style pulled me in so quickly that I was imagining standing on the Moors and seeing the fog rolling in and hearing the Tinkers come. Beautifully written, wonderful story with some twists that you feel in the pit of your stomach. Can't wait for her next book.

Was not sure what to think of this book at the beginning. It is really quite sad but haunting in an unforgettable way. I dont want to give any part away but at one point I was blown away - did not see that coming! VERY well written book. My heart ached for Clodough.

This was a haunting, unforgettable read. Everyone should experience this novel.. It is the type of story that lingers long after the pages are finished being turned. This is truly a talented author and I hope she will continue to deliver more in the future.

I haven't been captivated by a story like this in a long time. It is indeed a page turner with a shocking twist which is heartrending. It evokes emotion so deep, it hurts and leaves the reader breathless and wanting more. I look forward to Regina McBride's next novel.

This book was like nothing I have read before. It was so unpredictable and beautifully written. The description used in this book is excellent. This book has tragedy and romance in coastal Ireland.

Well written, descriptions that not only can u imagine, but smell, feel and taste. At times both sad and haunting. This drew me in and kept me guessing, with a disturbing twist that I NEVER saw coming. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Wow. This book was so different from anything I've ever read. Very well written. The author has a very unique style of writing. The story line was confusing at times but it all came together at the end. Very descriptive writing that makes this a worthwhile book to read. Frankly I was surprised....I just couldn't put it down for long.

I did not want to like this book. Repeatedly I tried to stop reading it, but it kept pulling me back in. It was very well written, but I found myself emotionally exhausted by the end.

The book was well written, but the story didnt sit well with me. A lot to take in and just a general undertone of sadness. Definitely a story that will stick with me.
