First and foremost this is not a book I would recommend for anyone under 17.. there is a bit of the story that includes rape which well is quite descriptive and chilling. The story I felt is more about Michelle and Omar. The story takes place in Hawaii. Michelle having had terrible ordeals in her past, including drinking is quite the timid about men to the point of panic. She is however also very strong and loyal and that character really evolves later in the book. Omar totally a dark wicked necromancer. He has discovered who his perfect woman would be and is set to take ahold of her. He is a hell of a villain, borderline psychotic. The author does a great job in being descriptive for her characters...I did have a little struggle right in the beginning but gradually clamped down and took it all in. A great story full of witchcraft, hardship, murder, rape, suspense, horror. Its a mixture for everyone. This really can be disturbing to some, but for a paranormal fan it was pretty spot on. I'd give this book a solid 3.5 for sure.

What an interesting take on witchcraft, magic, and the paranormal. I originally picked up this ebook on amazon before the tour was announced. And then I figured since I had it, I should use my money spent in a productive way. Lol! let me start by saying this is not on the side of lighter happier stories. It’s dark, sometimes gruesome and pretty scary. It’s got a more serious tone and you are literally in the head of a total serial psychopath! It’s also got the main character going through some very traumatic moments. But I hope that doesn’t sway you from reading it. It’s very interesting. in the beginning, I thought it was starting slow because of a lot of background information but then I was really interested in the info being explained. And some of the characters are very intriguing. I really liked Heather and Nakamaru. I can identify with Heather. But sometimes I thought all of the different POVs were a little confusing. But it also offered things you wouldn’t know or understand if it were first person or only one or two people in third person POVs. and then there’s the whole incident with connecting with your attacker because you don’t know he’s your attacker. This whole part really freaked me out. I think because it’s quite believable! I mean you would never think your attacker would befriend you and try to seduce you after he’s attacked you. This is a very big scary thing to me, so Ms Richter- way to totally up the creepy factor!! there’s no question for me as to who’s the bad guy here! I will definitely keep this for adult readers only! And to those of you who enjoy the novels that let you see into the bad guy’s head- this is definitely for you. Such a unique novel! Oh and my dense self needs to say that I did really like the writing style. Plus, who doesn’t love a good writer who can scare you, make you think, and fascinate you all in one! 3.5 PAWS FROM ME!!

Great book to read! Michelle is a strong character that you can relate to. Omar is dark and mysterious. Want to know just how strong Michelle is? Or how dark and just how mysterious Omar is? Pick up this book and find out for yourself!

Enjoyed every moment reading this book. Kept me up until 5 am for 3 nights running. All the characters are well developed, the story moves so fast and smoothly there was no place to stop, nor did I want to. Looking forward to reading her other books.

I enjoyed this novel very much. There was a nice flavor of the Hawaiian Islands and their culture. The pace got faster and faster at the end when Michelle had to pit her own abilities against that of Omar, The Necromancer. Nice and scary, without a lot of blood and gore. Recommended for women especially because of the nice psychological tone that gives meaning to the changes we see in the main character

I highly recommend this novel. The Necromancer, Omar, is devilish, handsome and scary. I fell in love with the professor. But it's the main character, Michelle, that I liked the best. She becomes a hero when she fights a gang of drugged women to keep her best friend from being killed. She is human and frightened herself, but overcomes a horrible attack, becoming stronger as the novel nears the end. The plot was complex and there was lots of neat information about the Wiccan religion. Again, highly recommended.
