The SUNSET Western Garden Book gets better and better. Bravo on replaciong the drawings with photos. Plant zones are now easier to locate. Many new and heritage cultivars included. A must for the amateur, professional gardener and horticulturist. C. Konigsberg, Horticulturist
I bought this book for my son's birthday, as he has inherited my need to be in the dirt. We spent an hour just looking at the gorgeous pictures and reading descriptions of favorite as well as mystery plants. An invaluable tool for California gardeners.
Informative. Great pictures. Love some of the individual sections such as suggestions for plants to attract bees, how to grow..., explanation of the Western states' zones, etc. When this book arrived in the mail, I was surprised that it looked a little beat up for a new book. The packaging was perfect though. Perhaps it was a returned book?
My "bible" for gardening. I've been buying this book for over 20 years now and am always excited to get the new edition. This is the first place I always turn to when I need info on a particular plant or what plant I need for certain situations.
