Kept me reading...could use some editing...a little hard to understand some of the British words

I found this story fairly entertaining. The young soldier had a lot to learn and, thankfully, had a more experienced person's help. For those who haven't fully considered what the long-term loss of power would do to their lives, I suggest you mentally walk through your daily life and think about it! Food and security would become your primary worries.

Okay. I read the whole book waiting for a point, maybe a plot. Nothing.

The concept has potential but this story missed it. It is ridiculous that England would totally fall apart over the loss of electricity as presented in this story. The story gets even sillier with the two guys hiking around to check these old defense stations. I only got about 100 pages before I could take no more.
