About the Author

From acting and directing to writing and arranging, not to mention stage design and puppetry, Bart Lovins has done a little bit of everything when it comes to theatre. He has been praised by regional critics for his varied performances, hailed by New York critics for his directing and writing, and been recognized nationally for his work as an arts presenter. Bart is currently the founding director of the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center (The PAC), which complements student learning and participation in performing arts and provides quality performing arts experiences for the community at large from around the world and around the corner. His efforts have been recognized by numerous local, regional, and national organizations. He is a member of the Actors Equity Association, Arts Kentucky, the Kentucky Arts Presenters Network, and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters and serves on the board of the Kentucky Theatre Association. Even though his duties at The PAC greatly consume his time, he continues exploring other professional artistic endeavors and is available for consultancies through the Kentucky Peer Advisory Network. As a writer, he is currently developing the four Sherlock Holmes novels for the stage.
