This book is an invaluable resource those with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, as well as for our family and friends. It explains the disorder in very clear and detailed terms that are easy to understand but aren't "dumbed down". If you have ever struggled to explain the workings of your mind to someone else (or even yourself), The OCD Workbook is almost certain to help! It also includes various exercises for the OCD sufferer that are quite insightful and provides information about multiple treatment options. In short, I recommend this book very highly to anyone who has OCD and to anyone who wants to better understand and care for someone they know who has it.

Using this book with a client with OCD and another with Body Dysmorphic Disorder. It's very thorough.

This book may or may not help you. It does little to give practical tools. I found that it created more issues for me than it helped with. Better books would be Brain Lock, and Stop Obsessing. The writers of this manual seem to have left out some key elements of OCD. Good luck!

What a great tool for treating OCD. It gives clear, logical steps for dealing with the dysfunction. I especially liked the recent inclusion of a chapter regarding mindfulness. It will help me as a therapist deal thoughtfully and thoroughly with OCD.
