This is an excellent book. As a beginner the book helps you determine your body type and how to proceed. The book also emphasizes the importance of engaging your muscles properly before moving to more difficult exercises. Each exercise has a picture along with detailed instructions. There are also groups of exercises detailed based on body type,injuries,careers and sports. It is a great reference tool that is well worth the price and can be used by beginners as well as advanced students.
