• cheese ones
• seafood spreaders
• meat & vegetable spreaders
• pickups
• stab 'ums
• and more

Also laced with wise personal commentary and seasoned social advice, The Old Caterer's Favorite Hors d'oeuvres is more than a cookbook - it's a way of life.

This is a great cookbook! Not only is it crammed full of wonderful hors d'oeuvres, it's absolutely hilarious! I'll never be able to go to a party again without thinking of Dot's sage advice. "Never get drunk and pass out at your own party. That's in bad taste. Do it at your least likeable friend's house." I couldn't stop laughing, which is hard when you're slicing onions for Maria's Creamy Pickled Herring (page 131) or opening cans of minced clams for Our Clam Dip (page 10). And Dot's Necessary Sauce (page12)-my fridge will never be free of this wonderful, versatile creation! A must book for any serious chief and a necessary one for anyone who likes to eat!

The title of this review says it all. You seriously can't go wrong with this extensive release. Even if you only end up taking away a few of the many recipe gems housed within, it will truly be an invaluable addition to your cooking/hosting repertoire. Highly recommended.
