Overview

The Other Box by David P. Elvar

I doubt that Zeus ever guessed it might come to this, gifted with foresight though he be. Worsted by his own art, or so he would have it, but he fashions the world to his liking alone and how else should he feel when his creations grow according to their will rather than his own? Jealousy? Pride? Yes, and in measure to befit the God of Gods.

About the Author

I'm not unknown to Smashwords. In another life, I write children's books, many of which have sold extremely well. This is my other incarnation, and it's at this point that you have to ask yourself, what brought you here? Did you come here to have shivers sent tingling up your spine? Did you come here looking for an alternative, even askant look at life? Well, my friend, you're in the right place. Step inside... Comfortable? Excellent. Take a look round. My stock is growing all the time so I'm sure you'll be able to find something to suit your tastes. Just a quick snack, is it? Try my Interludes series, short tales of the offbeat and paranormal. Or perhaps your appetite is, shall we say, somewhat healthier. Then I can recommend my full length tales, but I do caution you to be sure to read them with the lights on. I must tell you, I have a friend. She's young, she's blonde. She sees things hidden to the rest of us. She's a medium. With attitude. She has two series of stories, Shona Madoc (for that is she) and Encounters. The first are full length works, tales of the cases she is called in to deal with. The Encounters series is just that, the chance encounters she makes with discarnate spirits, ghosts - call them what you will. Does she ignore them? Of course not. This is her job, this is what she does. Whether paid to do it or not. So welcome, my friend. Welcome to my world...
