Overview
The Other Eisenhower is woven into the fabric of historic events that occurred just prior to 6 June 1944--D-Day. Following an actual security breach at the British War Office in Whitehall, a peace-loving London postman discovers and unwittingly reads secret Operation Overlord plans, thus making him the target of both the Allies, who want to keep him from talking, and the Germans, who are desperate to learn what he knows. After a failed abduction to Germany, the postman and others involved in keeping the invasion plan secret, gain support from resistance fighters as they are chased by the Gestapo and one of Hitler's most sinister generals, through the Netherlands and Belgium into France. There, after finding refuge at the luxurious Paris mansion of a movie star, the postman and his compatriots attempt an escape via the Seine to Le Havre and ultimately home. Unfortunately, they are captured and brought for interrogation to Field Marshal Rommel’s headquarters at La Roche-Guyon. Meanwhile, across the English Channel, SHAEF Supreme Commander, General Dwight Eisenhower and his staff begin implementing Overlord as they deal with the crushing responsibility of sending thousands of troops on a life-threatening series of assaults they can only hope will succeed. Aware of the security breach, they must live with the knowledge that Nazi leaders may have learned the details of the invasion and will foil what would be the greatest amphibious assault in history.

About the Author
Augustine Campana and Marco Di Tillo met in Rome in 2010 and became a writing team soon thereafter. Marco has written for Italian television and radio variety and talk shows, children's programs, quiz shows, and plays. Also to his credit are theatrical comedies, comic strips, adventure books, biographies, and illustrated fairy tales. For the Italian cinema, he wrote and directed two comedy features. His most recent book in his native language is "Destini di sangue" (Destinies of Blood), a detective story published by Arkadia. He and his wife Giulia, the parents of three sons, Luca, Andrea, and Bruno, live in Rome. Augustine, a native of Yonkers New York, enjoyed a 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force, after which he became a management consultant. Since childhood, he had written and produced shows and revues as an avocation. In the past several years, he authored the book, "The Last Fairy," and is now writing historical novels. He and his wife Jean have two adult children, Joseph and Angela, and live in Orlando, Florida.
Marco graduated in Psychology having written a thesis on "The New Italian Comics, from Birth to Linus." His writing career has included stories for comics published by Comic Art -- The Wizard of Mondadori, Il Giornalino, Il Giorno, Fotografare, Paese Sera, Il Messaggero, Flash. Lanciostory, I Quaderni del Sale. He created many original characters such as "Yeti", "Hans and Chica," "Hud Kelly", and "Piero". Marco has also written biographies including those of famous jazzmen, movie stars, and football players. In 1978, Marco worked as a writer for Radio 1 Rai, where he wrote scripts for many broadcasts of variety, quiz and original radio plays, including "The Fall Jazz," "Love Means," "What Day was that Day?", "The Spoiler", "Flip Open" " An Invention Called the Disc"," Music and Words for a Holiday," "My son, Nicola," and " A History of Jazz. " In 1983 he began writing for the Rai television. There, he authored "Hello Italy," "Open Space," " Afternoon on the Two," " Forte Fortissimo," "Saturday Zecchino," "Scruples," "The tales of Topo Gigio," "Beauty," "Christmas Gifts," "Men," and "A Sparkling Day." Later, for TV-Montecarlo, he wrote the children's program "Zap Zap." He began directing motion pictures in 1989 with "Operation Parrot," which he wrote with Piero Chiambretti and Claudio Delle Fratte. In 2000, he wrote and directed, "A Year in the Country." His novels include, "The Young Knight " (Einaudi publisher.) and "Three Boys and the Sultan" (Mursia publisher) His illustrated fairytales include, "Mummy Christmas" and "Mummy Christmas and the Pirates" ( Mursia). For the travel industry he wrote "Rome for Two" and "Walkin' Rome." Most recently, besides The Other Eisenhower, Marco had his latest book in Italian published by Arkadia.
