Overview

If you walked in on your high school sweetheart and husband of ten years in a compromising position with your best friend, what would you do?

Would you kick him out, serve him divorce papers, and leave the small town in North Carolina where you grew up, taking his dog with you just to spite him?

Because that's what I did.

I have no idea why I chose Santa Monica as the place of my rebirth, but here I am, in the land of earthquakes, mudslides, and wildfires, starting over when most women my age are just starting out.

When I come across the bucket list my mother scratched out before she died, I decide this may just be the kick in the pants I need to figure out who I am and where I'm meant to be. Stepping outside my comfort zone, I set out to accomplish everything she always wanted to do but never got the chance.

But falling in love was never on that list.

This book is different from whatTK usually writes, but it was still a great read. A great group of friends who stick together and a great love found. Humor and emotion all over the place.

Baylee moved across the country to start a new life along with her mothers journal. Starting fresh and alone except for Sport her dog. Finally free to live instead of trapped in a small town married to a selfish cheater. A man who made her put her dreams on hold and even bury her dreams. The day she found her husband in the arms of a friend she knew it was her time to shine and spread her wings. She divorced him and set out to begin her "someday." She brought along her mothers journal and in it found a bucket list her mother had written. It was a list her mom had written when she found out she was pregnant with Baylee and also was diagnosed with brain cancer. Needless to say the list was not completed. Baylee decided she would complete that list. It would help her "get to know her mom" since she died right after Baylee was born. On a morning walk one day with Sport she runs into, literally, Sebby. An instant friendship begins. Each morning from then on they meet on a bench in the park for coffee and conversation. They can only be friends since Sebby has a girlfrend. With the pressure of any attraction now handled Baylee is able to open up to Sebby and let him see a side of her that many people don't. Baylee goes on several dates but with each guy she compares them to Sebby eventhough she knows that is so wrong since he can never be hers. None of these guys measure up to Sebby. She is looking for the "magic" her mother describes in her journal. Will she ever find it?? She has found it, but with Sebby. But that could never work.... he has a girlfriend and Baylee refuses to be the other woman. But Sebby gives Baylee the impression his feelings for her have changed from friendship to something else. She notices he becomes jealous when she goes out with other guys. How can that be though he has a girlfriend. But is he truly happy with his girlfriend. After all she doesnt like his dog, refuses to move out of NYC, in fact she tells Sebby that he has to move to NYC, she is not supportive of his dream to produce for the NFL. It's all about her. How long can he give of himself and get nothing in return. Will he realize that his girlfriend isn't the perfect woman for him and men and women cannot just friends when you found your Ms Right. But I guess you have to be with Ms Wrong to know when you find Ms Right.

This was truly a laugh out loud makes you want more story. By the time I got to the end I was sad to see it had ended I could have kept reading more and more on Baylee and Sebby. T.K. has done a really amazing job with the story over-all. This is a MUST READ story!!! Cover to cover word for word you just eat the words right up. trust me when I say this is one story that you don't want to miss out on. Yes it took me a bit to get this read but when I had the story in my heads I couldn't stop I had personal reasons as to why it took me so long to read but I know it's a fast pace fun loving story that is really easy to love. READ IT!!! ***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review, see more of my review @ http://jmhoward2007.blogspot.com/2016/06/review-other-side-of-someday-by-tk-leigh.html ***

WOW! I absolutely LOVED this book. The storyline was so freaking good and the characters were one of a kind amazing. I was sucked into this book and was hooked from the very beginning. I could NOT put this book down until it was done. I felt emotionally invested in Baylee and Sebby's story and my chest was getting tight from everything that goes on. T.K. did an outstanding job with this book and has gotten herself a new fan in me. I have been dying to get my hands on one of her books and I am so happy that I chose to start with this book. When Baylee first meets Sebby she is instantly attracted to him, unfortunately she never got his info so she wasn't sure she'd ever see him again. Needless to say they meet again and end up forming a friendship of sorts. She is still extremely attracted to him but she finds things out about him that causes her to just keep their relationship strictly on a friends basis. She fights the attraction but when she goes to admit her feelings things keep them apart. Will they be able to find a happy ending together or will they lose their friendship after all?

I cannot count how many times I laughed out loud in the middle of the night reading this masterpiece! Certainly doesn't feel like a first written RomCom to me! That first meeting of Dixie and Nosebleed had me literally snorting (I was trying to stifle my laughter so I won't wake anybody!). Then every chapter after that, there was something I would laugh at, and not just quiet laugh but laugh-out-loud-hit-your-thighs laugh! I loved the supporting characters, especially Marcel (Maybe he'll have his own RomCom book?). The story is simple, yet well written. I especially loved the inclusion of the mother's journal, and Uncle Monty. This has everything you will need in a good read. The laughter (a lot of it!), the love story, fun friends, family, and you might even get a little teary eyed at some parts. You will be glued to this book once you start it. It's hard just to stop reading! If I didn't have to adult, I would have devoured this in one sitting. To say I enjoyed this book is an understatement! Thank you, TK Leigh for an absolutely awesome read! I can't wait for another one, hopefully earlier than 2018!

This book was a wonderful read. I have read T.K. Leigh’s Deception Duet and loved it. This book was no different in that aspect. This book was wonderfully moving. Baylee has moved to California to start over after catching her husband cheating on her. Even though so no longer loved him it hurt no less. So has lived the last 10 years of her life for her husband. It was always about him; his career, what he wanted to do, what he wanted to watch. No Baylee needs to figure out who she is and what she wants. Her first morning there she takes her dog, Scout, for a walk in the park across the street from her condo. Sport runs off and finds a girlfriend. She follows him and winds up bumping into a man and gives him a bloody nose. There is just something about him. She is instantly attracted to him. His name is Sebby. She begins to meet him there every morning and loves how they have an instant connection. They can talk so easily and have lots in common. She learns later that he is her neighbor. She finds out the he has a girlfriend. She lives in New York and they have been dating for a few years. This allows Baylee to show him a different side of her. There is no pressure because there can’t be more between them. That doesn’t mean she isn’t still attracted to him. Sebby and Baylee wind up spending a lot of time together. They have a wonderfully easy relationship even if it’s just a friendship and not more. All the characters in this book are fantastic. The group of people she makes friends with who live in the building are wonderfully diverse. They are there for each other and help Baylee learn who she really wants to be. I can’t say enough about this book. Sebby and Baylee begin as friends and build quickly on that. While Baylee is sure of her feelings for Sebby and wishes for more she is unsure of how Sebby feels. She isn’t sure if she is reading more into some things than is really there for him. She does try to go on other dates, 2 of them didn’t go well. Then one she was really into and hoped that he would make her forget about Sebby. I love Baylee and this journey she took on this book. She grew so much during this book. I would love to read more about Sebby and Baylee and their next journey. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

The Other Side of Someday by T.K. Leigh is very different from her other books, different in a good way. It is freaking fantastic, a romantic comedy that I did not expect to love as much as I did. It is a lighthearted read full of fun, romance and friends. More than once I laughed out loud, but don't get me wrong, there are some serious messages and topics in this book, that will tug at your heart. Baylee has moved from a little town in North Carolina to Santa Monica, California to begin a new life, but she never expected her dog Sport to lead her to a wonderful man by the name of Sebby. What can I say, he is perfect, handsome, nice, funny, loyal, and wants to be her best friend, I loved their initial meeting, it was hilarious and embarrassing at the same time, did I mention that Baylee is a little clumsy at times? And so begins the story of Baylee and Sebby, as their friendship grows, and Baylee is introduced to new friends and the dating scene in LA. I loved all the characters in this book, with the exception of Mercedes, who I wanted to throttle. I absolutely loved Marcel, as well as the other new friends that Baylee meets. And who wouldn't want to have an uncle like Monty? Baylee and her southern roots have people giving her various nicknames, and I could definitely relate to that being from South Carolina, also couldn't help but laugh when I read some of our country sayings. So whether or not you have ever read T.K. Leigh, you need to give this book a chance. I highly recommend it for any romance lover. It is a fun and refreshing read that you will not want to put down. I guarantee you will laugh, shed a tear or two, fall in love, and at the same time want to shake some sense into Baylee, for not seeing the forest for the trees. The author generously provided an advanced review copy in exchange for an honest review, and I can honestly say that I loved it, five stars all the way. T.K. Leigh, you did it again, and I cannot wait for everybody to meet Sebby and Baylee!!

This is one beautiful book. It has it heartbreaking moments especially for Baylee, but there such heart warming moments as well. This book was a pleasant surprise. Right from the beginning this book hooked me. The first meeting between Baylee and Sebby quite memorable. If you're a fan of romantic comedy this one will be a winner in your book. I was laughing a lot while reading this one. I really enjoyed all the characters in this one. They are definitely a mixed bag, but so delightful. Baylee is in California to start a new chapter in her life when her life as she knew it imploded in North Carolina. This adventure is a soul seeking one where she meets a man who helps her find something she didn't see coming.

T.K. Leigh is absolutely brilliant!!! She proved with The Other Side of Someday, that she can write ANYTHING and you will fall madly in love with it! I loved this book so so so so much! The Other Side of Someday was so refreshing to read. It's a beautiful, lighthearted story that will have you laughing until your stomach hurts. The characters were perfect! Sebby is just wonderful. He isn't an alpha male (which was refreshing) he's very likeable, dependable, and will make you fall in love with him. Baylee....OMG I love her!!!! She leaves behind a cheating husband for a new beginning, stepping out of her comfort zone, and taking chances because tomorrow may never come! I enjoyed this story and I have definitely learned never to live with regrets and to take those chances. This is a must read! I will recommend this to everyone! You will not be disappointed! Bravo T.K. Leigh!

4,5/5 STARS!!! T.K Leigh had me hooked on her stories from the day I read «Heart of Light». I really liked the suspense, that she chose to talk about very taboo subjects.Tings that could hurt. I'm not ashamed to say that I have cried more than once while reading T.K Leigh's books. I got so excited when T.K Leigh announced that she was going to publish a romantic comedy – The other side of Someday! I was hoping for a long time for T.K to write something other than suspense and now we were going to get it! But then again, I started to think – what if I don't like her new book? The new style of writing – a new gengre. I knew I only had one choice; to read «The other side of Someday» And now I have and I can assure you; T.K Leigh masters this genre aswell! «The other side of Someday» is a mixture emotions. You got anger and sandness, sorrow and joy, romance and lust. This story makes you wnat to cry and laugh.I love books that does that to me. In my opinion, the only negative part of this book is that you a bit too quickly get a feel of how some of this story will end.But the story is sweet and I didn't want it to end! 4,5/5 STARS!! When Baylee finds herself in a life-changing situation, she turns around and leave everything behind to start a new life. Everything is unknown and new. She's alone, but soon realises that the world is full of surprices and new friendships. Baylees life becomes a new adventure. So here's to friendships and champagne - and remember; Someday begins today!

The Other Side Of Someday is a breath of fresh air for anyone looking for a great contemporary romance that is light, fun and makes you feel good. I absolutely loved Baylee, as she is a strong female character who is finding out what she wants after leaving her husband after ten years. When she moves to her beautiful condo in Los Angeles, a whole new chapter awaits her in the story of life. T.K. Leigh introduces some humour into the storyline which is always great to see, as he hilarious encounter of when Baylee meets Seb for the first time is one of the best parts of the entire novel. As the storyline progresses, it always seems to flashback to that point, or as such the point in time where your life can change forever, like a chance encounter. The chemistry between Seb and Baylee is greatly written and I love the playful banter between the two. T.K. Leigh does a wonderful job of keeping true to the storyline and not swaying Baylee’s perspective, even if it means a broken heart. You can just feel the chemistry oozing off the pages between Seb and Baylee and I love the fact that during the course of the book there is not one kiss between the two, but instead this pent up sexual chemistry, those darted glances and the wistful eyes of two people who are so attracted to each other but cannot be together. I definitely would recommend that not only do you add The Other Side of Someday to your To-Be-Read Shelf but you read it. T.K. Leigh does such a fantastic job of creating this story that will wont be able to put down. I found myself laughing so many times throughout the book that I think I had a permanent smile on my face, as Baylee’s love life seemed to be one disaster after another. The Other Side of Someday is a definite must read!

“I don’t want to go another day without you next to me. I know that you fit in my arms better than anyone I’ve ever been with. I know that you make me happier than I’ve ever been in my life.” “In that moment, his tongue exploring my mouth, I felt how much he needed and revered me. In that one kiss, I finally felt what I had been yearning to feel for years…I felt magic.” The Other Side of Someday is a refreshing romantic comedy written by author T.K. Leigh. The Other Side of Someday follows the story of Baylee and Sebby. Baylee just relocated to LA after discovering her husband of 10 years has been unfaithful to her. Being out of the game for so long, Baylee finds herself immersed in the crazy dating world at the age of 30. And dating…dating is nothing like she remembers, and sadly the men are nothing to write home about either. That is until she meets Sebby. Sebby is the perfect guy. The chemistry is amazing and he’s even got an adorable dog. The only problem, he’s got a girlfriend. However, the more time Sebby spends with Baylee, the more he realizes that he’s be unhappy for a very long time. And he’s not too thrilled watching Baylee go through the motions of dating, either. Will Sebby open his eyes and snatch up Baylee before it’s too late? Will Baylee finally get the HEA she deserves? The Other Side of Someday was such a fun read. This book had me laughing out loud so many times. The story-line is fun and refreshing. The characters are so entertaining and make you feel right at home. I loved watching Baylee go on her journey of self discovery and dating. I loved watching her try to complete her mother’s bucket list and discovering what would make her happy along the way. Sebby was fantastic. He walked into Baylee’s life at just the right moment. And even though the two of them had to overcome quite a few obstacles on their journey to HEA, they built an incredible friendship, which made their fall even sweeter. The Other Side of Someday was just the read I was looking for. It made me laugh. It made me smile. It kept me entertained. There was just the right amount angst, drama and romance. And in the end, it left me with a smile on my face!
