Very slow and boring. Difficult to read. Did not know where this book was going until the end. Just a spoiled person complaining for 234 pages. I wish I could get my money back.

Waste of Money and Time. The onky book worse than this was Seating Arrangements, another waste of time and money spent. Loved Sarah's Key. I had really been looking forward to enjoying this book. This book was a huge disapointment to me.

This book starts very slow and about the sixth chapter it begins to rev up. It continues to be slow at some points and race at the end. It is very easy to follow until it gets into the heart of the story then it seems a little tangled. But all in all I was glad I read this book.

Characters so unlikable that they distract from the rather thin "secret".

I too feel extremely let down by this book. There really is no detectable story. I kept waiting for it to surface but it never did. Lots of filler leading nowhere.

Even though I have read Sarah's Keys and the story in Paris about building the new boulevards, this does not even come close to being as good as they were. The sexual content appeared to be the only theme for the book. I read about half of it and quit. Never did we get close to "The Other Story". Don't waste your time with this one.

The story about a young man who writes his first book that becomes a best seller. It begins slowly and not until the ending does it somewhat pick up. The story line takes place on a very exclusive island off the coast of Italy. The young writer has writer's block. He meets a variety of people who are not very likeable and shallow. Can't say I liked any of the characters. Are there really that many abnoxious people in the world? I finished the book but had a difficult time reading it. Ms. DeRosnay incorporated every cuurent news event and cliche into the story. Lots of famous name dropping.
