A lifelong writer, she has a B.A. in creative writing from Knox College, where she won the Davenport prize for both fiction and poetry, and the Lorraine Smith prize for literary criticism. She spent thirteen years in technical writing before she found a way to incorporate her deepest darkest spanking fantasies into fiction and express a part of her that longed to see the light. Couldn't put this book down! Renee Rose has quickly become one of my favorite authors. The reason is simple, great story, strong likable characters and smart dialogue. Her heroes are strong, firm but fair. Her heroines are both well spanked and well loved. This loving couple has your rooting for their success. It's a perfect pairing.

When you have been naughty, I expect you to take your punishment like a good girl! Mabelle Lawson is living at the farm in Wyoming of her late brother-in-law who was killed by Indians and sister who died of Consumption.  She is barely managing day to day.  Sam Pride was a rancher in Colorado that had a run in with four men sent by a neighboring rancher who wanted his land and water for his cattle.  Sam is considered a wanted man for what was self defense. He ends up with the Curly James gang by accident when they were both seeking shelter from the rain.  Forced to be there during a stage robbery, he actually saves the people from death.  They are riding and need shelter and find Mabelle's farm.  Sam knows how ruthless these other three men are, and being a decent man, he protects Mabelle when Curly goes to slap her in the face and said that is not how you handle women, you spank their bottom, which he does.  Things start to get out of hand when Curly decides he is going to take Mabelle in hand and a shoot out takes place, killing the three wanted gang members.  Sam loads their bodies into the wagon and tells Mabelle to take them to Cheyenne for the reward but ends up having to go with her.  Along the way he ends up having to blister he bottom repeatedly.

Renee never lets me down. This book may be my favorite of hers yet! Sam is a good-hearted man in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mabelle is a woman of courage willing to do what she has to to take care of the people she loves. Together the two make the perfect couple. It's the perfect storyline-I couldn't stop reading. Laughter, tears, spanking and down-right sinfully delicious coupling, I couldn't get enough! My only complaint-the same with every one of her books-I want more!!!

Another in Son’s of Johnny Hasting’s boxed sex. Mabelle is struggling to keep her small ranch going in Wyoming after her brother-in-law is killed by Indians and her sister dies of consumption. Sam Pride has a bounty on his head and winds up being forced to joined a gang of outlaws. When they appear at her ranch, Sam makes it his duty to protect the small, feisty woman from the true outlaws, spanking her even as he warns her to go along as the men in the other room are dangerous. A confrontation breaks out where Sam has to shot the three outlaws and tells Mabelle that she is to go to Cheyenne and claim the bounties to help her keep her ranch. Mabelle can’t manage alone and Sam agrees to go with her. Before they even arrive, they are accosted by a Pinkerton agent who isn’t out to claim bounty on Sam, but is to find and deliver a message that his father, Johnny Hastings, has died and he needs to come to Denver to claim his inheritance. With Mabelle’s help and promise of love and support, he manages to not only clear his name and remove the bounty on his head, they fall in love and marry. Sam sells his own ranch in Colorado so that he and Mabelle can return to her home where they will ranch together. Good, sweet romantic story with spanking.

This story was so good. Renee Rose is a great story-teller. Mabelle is a feisty, brave and capable girl. Sam is a strong, loving guy intent on looking after her. The story has plenty of action, spankings and romance, all delivered with fun, humour and real emotion. Their developing feelings for each other and growing intimacy is well described. The ending was sweet and really romantic. It is well-written and easy to read. I loved it.

I was so happy to see that Renee Rose wrote one of the stories in this set. All the books I’ve read by her are so good. She gives lots of details and her spankings are hot! This is the story of Sam and Mabelle. Mabelle came out to Wyoming to help nurse her sister who had consumption. Once there, her brother-in-law Frank was killed by Indians. Her sister gave up and died several weeks later. Mabelle was left alone to run the ranch. Sam was being forced to ride with a gang. He was wanted for killing four men in Colorado Terrritory. They came to the ranch for shelter and, sparks began to fly! Eventually, the gang is killed and Mabelle and Sam take their bodies to Cheyenne. There they meet the Pinkerton man who delivers the letter about Sam’s father dying. They decide to travel there together as they have fallen in love and they have a plan to get the bounty off of Sam’s head. This book is really good. I stayed up reading way later than I should! There is a great story and very hot spankings. Mabelle seems to always be in trouble. But, the making up after is pretty hot too. I highly recommend this story! 5 stars!

The Outlaw's Bride by Renee Rose(The Sons Of John Hastings Box Set) This was an entertaining book.  In it we meet Mabelle Lawson and Sam Pride.  These characters are well thought out and a joy to get to know.  I liked that Mabelle was feisty yet not prissy and that Sam while definitely a mans man wasn't arrogant and over the top.  The story seamlessly flowed from beginning to end.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the entire series.

What a charming story!  I loved Sam Pride, the outlaw with a heart of gold, and Mabelle was perfect as the strong, courageous woman trying to run a ranch on her own. The spankings and sex were hot and the story was full of adventure!

I enjoyed this story. It had all the necessary bits to make it a good read; action, intrigue, romance and of course a heroic man and damsel in distress. Falling in love and marriage happened rather quick, but it was a nice easy read.

SL - indians, and bad guys and bounty hunters -  I really liked this story of the old  west.  It had action, it had romance.  It was a great story. Sam and Mabelle were good chemistry.  Sam was unjustly accused of murder and got caught up in a dangerous gang by accident.  He does his best to keep everyone safe from the ruthless gang without getting himself killed. The gang trying to escape the storm and the law ride onto Mabelle’s farm and would have killed her if not for Sam protecting her.  Sam didn’t know what it was about Mabelle, but I believe it was love at first sight. There are Indians, and bounty hunters, and sheriffs all posing a threat to a budding relationship. There are many spanking scenes with a belt and with his hand.  There are a few fondling scenes before they are officially married, but it was a sweet romance between the two.  Mabelle is a sassy lady that doesn’t listen and almost gets shot a couple of times.  Sam is just trying to protect her and keep her safe.  It was a sweet read, in the old west with lots of spanking.
