Flannery O'Connor and Carson McCullers notwithstanding, the editors of this magazine evidently believe that only males can write adequately. Given that equal numbers of males and females are aspiring writers, that can be the only explanation for the consistent skew--in terms of both writers for the magazine and writers covered by the magazine--in the table of contents of this magazine.

and did not cover anything I was interested in. The Atlantic is a much better choice.

The first issue I received on my Nook filled the screen marvelously without me having to use article view. I didn't miss a thing. As much as I love reading each article individually, I'm less inclined to read it cover to cover when it's in this small pdf like format. So I miss things, I put it down and forget to read the rest of the mag b/c it's to cumbersome to zoom in perfectly for the images and page design and then click on article view to read the article.

...The Oxford Review manages to be literate and entertaining, as well as relevant to this southerner's forbears, both literary and otherwise. (Sorry, other reviewers, I find the Atlantic to be both pedantic and superficial--some sort of miracle of mediocrity.)
