About the Author

Kristel Beyens is a professor of penology, criminological sociology, and research methods at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Free University Brussels). Jenneke Christiaens is a professor of criminology and juvenile justice and youth crime at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Bart Claes is currently a voluntary postdoctoral researcher for the group Crime and Society (CRiS) in the Department of Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Steven De Ridder is a teaching assistant and PhD student in the Department of Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
