About the Author

Ricardo Dimas Muga, Esq. was born in Moron, Cuba in 1940. At the tender age of fifteen, he left his homeland, alone, in search of the American Dream. He worked his way through junior high and high school, taking odd jobs mucking stalls, working in the school cafeteria and later working at A.P. Boza Funeral Home, selling clothing and modeled for Wolf Brothers, and selling food to local restaurants.

Richard married his high school sweetheart, Sylvia Jean Garcia. He then went on to graduate from the University of Tampa, and South Texas College of Law. Since graduating from law school, he has served his community as an attorney, a college instructor, a columnist and a philanthropist.

Richard is an exemplary reminder of what hard work, dedication, service to others, and a little bit of luck can build. Not only did he fulfill his young aspiration for the American Dream, he has been a leader and an inspiration for others to build their own dreams.

Great stories about folks that help build the area into what it was. It definitely has changed and others would love for it to become what it once was. Great read to pass the time.
