I have never returned a book to a bookstore as absolutely unreadable, but I did so with this one. The missteps are many: 1. The advice is beyond trite, and is not at all uniquely Parisian. A change of accessories can upgrade an outfit from casual to dressy? Neutral colors are the best basis for an elegant wardrobe? Please. It insults the intelligence of the average woman. 2. The book consists mostly of color photographs of mediocre clothing, which was already dated by the time the book was published. 3. The authors are mostly interested in selling the jewelry that they carry in their shop. I could go on, but suffice it to say: save your money for something truly stylish, and skip this book!
