What can i say... this was the first of Ava Miles book that I have read and now I need to read the rest of them. Such a great story of love and commitment. The setting for the story was fabulous the details that were included made you think you were in the park with Jane and Matt the whole time. My favorite part was adding the dogs in the story line everyone loves to have those sweet little critters be part of your family. In the story Jane was a tough nut to crack she was bound and determined that she was going to keep her past hidden. Matt being the lawyer knew that he wanted her in his life and knew there was something mysterious about Jane. Matt has a wonderful family that would do anything for him and they help him crack open Jane's case. In the end it never really matters what happens in your past because love can define all odds. A great read. You won't be disappointed. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.

I Loved this book!! Jane is has a very big secret. Portraying herself as Rhett ' s dog walker she meets Matt in the park. Walking his rambunctious dog Henry, Matt is drawn to Jane. Using the dogs to get to know each other they fall in love. But Matt wants to run for mayor. Jane knows that her secret identity can ruin his plans. Will they stay together or will it all fall apart when Raven finally comes out or will all of Jane's dreams come true in the park of sunset dreams. Wonderful addition to the Dare Valley Series! ! I received an ebook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.

Jane Wilcox has been seeing Matthew fighting with his dog in the park on a daily basis. The dog refuses to listed to anything that Matthew says. Jane is a dog walker for a Poker King and feels that she would be able to help Matthew. As Matthew and Jane become closer, Jane has conflicting feelings because of what she used to to for her current boss. She is afraid that if anything is said that she would hurt her best friend and the ones she loves. There is a lot of laughter, smiles and love in this book. It is very enjoyable to read. I will be going back and reading the rest of the series, as this was really enjoyable. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. This is a beautifully written story about struggles in life, love and dreams. It flows nicely, keeps you enthralled and has well detailed and intriguing characters. Matt and Jane have many obstacles thrown in their path as their relationship grows. What would you do for love? Wonderful story that is worth reading and I highly recommend it. I received and e-book copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review; all conclusions are my own.

The character of Matt in this story was an egotistical jerk, so I guess he would make a good politician. Don't understand why anyone would want to "love" someone who would only do what he wanted not considering other's feelings. To me the theme of this story is about betraying friendships and your own values for a guy who has no problem using any means to get what he wants. I did like the first two Dare River books, but the Dare Valley stories seem quite shallow.

Each book gets better and better. She builds a rich foundation with people cropping up from past books. Never boring.

Grabs you by your heart and soul. A cannot-put-it-down page-turner. This spring, Miles released the sixth Dare Valley book, The Park of Sunset Dreams, that focuses on one of Rhett’s former poker babes cum dog walker, Jane Wilcox, and Merry and Jill’s cousin Matt Hale. Matt, who recently moved back to Dare after becoming disillusioned with his work in a Denver law firm, calls on Jane to help him with a misbehaving dog he inherited from a client. He knows Jane can help him as he watches her each evening at the dog park where she walks Rhett’s attention-getting, dress-up, accessory dog as well as her own chocolate lab.  I love the fact that Jane, who considers her non-poker babe self to be a “plain jane,” is considered by Matt to resemble a young Audrey Hepburn. Once again, Ava Miles creates characters that we can both relate too and enjoy a bit of a crush on. Yes, Matt is a good guy, a really good guy, and Jane, well she speaks for every woman she feels insecure about her looks and appeal.  If The Park of Sunset Dreams only consisted of their romance and scenes with the three dogs, this would be a fabulous book. But Miles throws in some additional twists and turns, including the deep secret of the poker babes’ identities, and this becomes a fabulously, fantastic book! Yes, once again, Ava Miles has written a cannot-put-it-down page turner that grabs you by your heart and soul and won’t let go. When you get to the end of the book, you’ll understand the title - and all its layers of meanings.

Another terrific read by Ava Miles. Jane Wilcox lives in Dare Valley, working as a dog walker, and she has a secret. Matt Hale is a lawyer who, after a tragedy, returns to Dare Valley with the dog he inherited. Matt needs Jane's help with the dog, and they start spending a lot of time together. They enjoy each other's company, but will Jane's secret come between them and destroy what they are working to build? Another wonderful story by Ava Miles!

This is an awesome small town romance. I absolutely loved this book. Ava Miles made me feel like I was part of the story, from the descriptions of the scenery to the interaction between all the characters. I laughed and I cried. I loved the way the family members interacted and especially liked how the dogs played a roll in the story and helped describe the characters personality. This book is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. I don't feel I missed anything by not reading the other ones, but I definitely will now. Every evening at sunset, Jane takes her dogs for a run through the park. Every evening at the same time, she sees Matt struggling to run with his dog, wanting to speak with him, but never daring. Until on evening his dog tangles Matt’s legs up in his leash, and he falls, unable to free himself. Jane stops and helps, and the connection is finally made. I loved this book from the new to me author Ava Miles. I don’t know how I missed her books till now, but I’m adding her to my go to author list. It's a great read. It was a little hard to get into in the beginning, but once it got going it was hard to put down. A lot of emotion in this one. You have Jane who has a secret and is trying to create a new life for herself in Dare. She also wants nothing to do with politics. Then you have Matt whose faith in the system is lost and he wants to try to to help by running for mayor of Dare. When fate has these two meet at the park at sunset their lives will change forever. With the love they have for each other, can these two face the challenges coming their way?

Author Ava Miles book “Park of Sunset Dreams” is a book that I didn’t want to set down and was the first book from her Dare Valley series that I have read.  With its picturesque writing of the small town of Dare Valley, the dog park, the characters and the town’s people, it’s certainly to keeps ones interest.  It’s a window into a small town with a small town atmosphere.   I enjoy reading Ava Miles’s latest book in the Dare Valley series.  It had me laughing at some of Henry’s antics, hoping for a character to obtain or succeed with their dreams, reflecting of my own life that was similar to what the characters went through or was going through, rotting for certain characters to prevail, anticipating what was going to happen if X should happen or would happen, and felt the emotions of the key characters and what they were going through as I read the story.   If you like romance stories then this is a book for you!  I would recommend it to my friends and family. The Park of Sunset Dreams by Ava Miles is another Dare Valley contemporary romance. I have been waiting for Jane’s story since Rhett, Jane and Elizabeth moved to Dare Valley in The Holiday Serenade. Ava has a wonderful way of describing the beautiful Colorado scenery that the people of Dare Valley enjoy each and every day. Her descriptions are so colorful and detailed that I feel like I am right there in the scene whether walking in the park with Jane and Matt or sitting in Janie’s living room with her and the dogs. Matt Hale is a cousin of “The” Hales who has returned to Dare after several years away working as a lawyer in Denver. He was crushed when he lost a case that he felt he should have won for his client who then died soon after the loss. He has adopted the client’s dog, who he named Henry, and moved to Dare Valley to learn to live again. He has also decided that he wants to run for Mayor of Dare. Jane works for Rhett Butler Blaylock. She was originally a “poker babe” named Raven; but now is known as his dog walker. She loves dogs, stocks and poker. Jane has a family that taught her early in life about the “dark side” of lawyers and politics and she has sworn to never get involved with any man that is a lawyer or has political aspirations. Jane is a strong character that has learned how to make it on her own without the help of her family. She is a good friend to Rhett and Elizabeth and will do anything to keep them safe from harm – even if it means giving up her own dreams. When I started reading this story about Jane and Matt Hale, I saw a train wreck waiting to happen and I couldn’t wait to see how Ava would resolve all of the issues between Jane and Matt. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing many of Matt’s family members that I had read about in Ava’s previous books. It was like catching up with old friends. Matt is one lucky man to have his family and extended family to support him now that he is back. Matt’s “Easter Brigade” contributed to laugh out loud moments as I read. You just can’t beat small town characters and the good and bad that goes along with living in a small town. The plot moved along with twists and turns as Jane’s secrets were revealed to Matt. Matt and Jane were strong characters that really grew within their relationship. It wasn’t an easy relationship for either of them; but Matt never really gave up. Oh my, what can I say about this wonderful book? The book and characters snag you from the start and reel you in. You have Matt Hale, raised in Dare Valley and returning to town as a lawyer to lead a slower paced life. You also have Jane Wilcox, who is a dog walker for her friend and boss, Rhett, with a lot of secrets of her own to keep.  I honestly could not put this book down and read it constantly(work, home, long stop lights!) The relationship between the two was gradually built and just beautiful to see. Add in the wine and food as part of the story, and you end up with a story that is to be savored. 5 + stars!! This is the first book that I have read by Ava Miles and it was wonderful. I loved how the relationship built between Matt and Jane and that they both knew immediately that they didn't want to lose each other. Matt was trying to move forward in politics and Jane was to scared for her past to come out, because she knew that it would damage his campaign and that she could possibly lose him. Neither wanted to lose what they had together, so in the end they faced everything head on and their relationship came out that must stronger.

The Park of Sunset Dreams is the first Eva Miles novel I have read and I have to say I immensely enjoyed it. Although it is number 6 in the series and I have yet to read the others (thou I plan on it in the very near future) this book is easy to follow. Jane grabs your attention with her background and the intensity of clothes that background has; her ability to taste win and know what it is without looking. The way she tastes that win leaves you wanting to have that feeling or that win. Then her vulnerability pulls you in more and your rooting for her to get courage and rope Matt in. These two characters keep you on your toes and at the edge of your seat wondering where their tale of heartache and past demons will take them. They surprise you, they angry you, and they make you fall in love. You watch them grow as a couple and as individuals. Matt’s family adds flavor to their story. They are a close nit family and they have you wishing you were a part of it. Uncle Arthur is my favorite, love the honest straight forward old man and cannot wait to read his story. If you love contemporary romances in line with Nora Roberts and Susan Mallery then you will love this book. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. Is it something in the air around Dare Valley or is it the magic of Ava Miles’ pen and her love for creating beautiful, heartwarming tales that once again has me smiling, sighing, near tears and raging like a momma bear? The Park of Sunset Dreams is romantic, contemporary and simply magnetic! Pretty and petite Jane Wilcox has a past that she would like to keep private, but Matt Hale, of THE Hales, a successful attorney who has just come home after years away, wants to know everything about this adorable woman. He knows she can tame even the rowdiest dog, but he’s finding she has tamed him with her sense of humor, sense of adventure and that special something that calls to him. Like two puzzle pieces meant to fit together, alone they are perfect, but when the world interferes Jane backs away. It isn’t that she doesn’t have feelings for Matt, but his possible future represents almost everything she has run from. But it’s her last secret that could ruin him and possibly destroy not only what they have, but her relationship with two of the most important people in her life. She will not allow it, no matter the cost to her. Along with the charm and warmth of a small town there is sometimes another, darker side that occasionally rears its ugly head. Will Matt’s bid for mayor become a mudslinging event for his opponent’s overzealous mother? What if she gets wind of Jane’s secret? Will the power of love be strong enough to reign triumphant? Ava Miles writes from the heart about living, loving and the joys and pain each can sometimes cause. Always blending humor, honor and a touch of small town gossip, Ms. Miles brings each of her stories to life with characters one can admire, sigh over and never forget as they become like family. Three dogs, two people, one love, along with the magic of Dare Valley and Ava Miles equals warm romance that makes me smile and while craving more.
