Janie DeVos' second book is a success in teaching us about diversity. These wonderful, whimsical characters very innocently show the reader how being different can be a gift and an advantage. The illustrations reinforce the message and are light-hearted and fresh. It is a pleasure to see Janie DeVos create another quality book for children and we should look ahead for her future offerings!

Kudos to Janie Devos whose books have inspired my 6-year old nephew to choose reading over his Sony Play Station. He read her first book, 'How High Can You Fly' so many times he actually memorized it! Janie's books always have such a beautiful message that teaches children and makes adults sit back and think about valuable lessons we may have forgotten. Sit down with a child and read, 'The Path Winds Home' and both of you will come away enlightened and inspired!

In this day and age of religious wars, attacks on America and other countries, this book sends a message all of us --not just children --should hold dear. Just because we're different, it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with us. In fact, it's our differences which make us special.

What a delightful fable about differences and how they can separate us and bring us together. Jane DeVos has a way of sensitively weaving inspirational messages into her stories for young children but they work as parables on some many other levels as well. It's a story kids and adults will love.
