You Haven’t Missed It; You’re Right on Time!
Many of God’s people feel guilty for going through difficult seasons. We think depression is spiritual weakness. In challenging circumstances, we ask: “God, where are You?” We consider the state of our lives and become discouraged, assuming we are not where God wants us to be. But what if we are?
What if the very circumstances that threaten to destroy us are the very things that launch us into our God-ordained moments of destiny?
In The Pendulum, Pastor Rickie Rush shows you that there is a time for everything under heaven.
- Your seasons of difficulty can push you closer towards fulfilling your purpose
- God never wastes the struggles that you go through
- To embrace and flow with the natural seasons of life
- God’s supernatural ability causes you to come out victorious on the other side

Rickie Rush is a new author and teacher to me. Each chapter is a new experience fresh, crisp, and enjoyable. There is richness in his writings and the word is sound. Truly a great book in difficult times and a resource for every day. Every one needs this book, Christians in particular need to get it for clarification on misinformation and misinterpretation. I have read Pendulum more than once it's that good.! Definitely the best book I read in 2015. I have reviewed this book freely without bias or coercion make sure you do too.
The Pendulum by Rickie G. Rush Publ: Destiny Images c.2014 Rickie Rush has written a book that can open your life into a new level of success in your battle against satan. Rush’s explaination of how to handle the difficult times in our lives are simple, biblically-inspired, and practical. He explaines how satan weasels his way into our lives. How he implants himself deeper into our lives after gaining access. How we an kick him out. And finally how we can keep him out. Each chapter ends with points to remember, Scripture to help re-enforce to main point of the chapter, questions to hep the reader make the lesson personal, thoughts from some of Rickie’s sermons, a prayer, and a video link. All of these make it easy to get the most out of each chapter. I learned a great deal from this book. It strengthened me to have a more successful outcome in my battle with the devil. It encouraged me by letting me know that my battles were not unique, that others had fought them before and won. I would encourage you to read this book; better yet buy a copy of your own so that you can mark the points that really speak to you. This is one of those books you will want to read over and over again and refer to when satan wants to make you forget who you are and the authority you have over him. I received this book through The Book Club Network for my unbiased review.
Review of The Pendulum by Rickie G. Rush The early chapters of the book are basic information on understanding how Satan works to discourage Christians and pull them into areas of sin and displeasing God. This book would be especially helpful for a new Christian to read to understand the role of the enemy to steal, kill and destroy. There is a season for everything in our lives. Rush speaks to the seasons of difficulties and depression giving helpful advice on common causes, information and practical ways to over come. When our personal pendulum swings back and forth with the highs and lows, we experience confusing emotions. Instead of becoming dormant or accepting failure, Rush urges us to identify the cause, recognize negative thoughts (replacing them with positive), identify stressors, and face the issue which has us stuck in places less than what we can become . He also offers spiritual prescriptions to get back on track. I received this book for my honest review from The Book Club. I posted reviews on Amazon and the Book Club Network
The Pendulum by Rickie G. Rush is like a sermon series in writing. Each chapter offers a mini sermon and finishes with a prayer, application questions and memory scriptures as well as a link for a video that accompanies the chapter. In his vulnerability, Rickie Rush tells the story of his mother’s death and how that impacted his beliefs about God. I loved the way he recognizes that he has the option to think a certain way. And that by recognizing the negative thoughts and taking action over them, he can change the way he thinks and feels. He asks the reader to identify the true enemy and that by doing so, the reader can study the enemy to fight back better. Rickie Rush also lets the reader know that this book is a not for someone who suffers clinical depression but rather is meant for someone who may be caught up in a pattern of depression. Although I did not connect with the book, I still felt it was a good read and offered practical measures to help someone who is truly interested in overcoming depression. I received this book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.
What an absolute blessing this book is! As strong believers in Christ, oftentimes we feel embarrassed about feeling "low" and tend to not communicate our true feelings because of the perception of others that our faith is not where we say it is. Dr. Rush's book is right on time - pun intended. It is a sincere, compassionate, transparent guide for understanding and embracing our winter seasons. He also reinforces and encourages readers to remember God's ultimate promise - there is always light beyond the darkness. Thank you, Pastor Rush. This is truly a gift from God.
