The last thing Jane Cavanaugh would ever expect is to be married—she is an invalid, after all—but that doesn’t mean she can’t help with her sister’s husband hunt! (Even if it is with a wee bit of reluctance.)

The last thing Gareth, Lord Worthe would ever want to do is to fall in love with his closest friend’s younger sister.

But fate just might have something else in store for these two…

About the Author

USA Today Bestselling Author Rose Gordon has written eight unusually unusual historical romances that have been known to include scarred heroes, feisty heroines, marriage-producing scandals, far too much scheming, naughty literature and always a sweet happily-ever-after. When not escaping to another world via reading or writing a book, she spends her time chasing two young boys around the house, being hunted by wild animals, or sitting on the swing in the backyard where she has to use her arms as shields to deflect projectiles AKA: balls, water balloons, sticks, pinecones, and anything else one of her boys picks up to hurl at his brother who just happens to be hiding behind her.

A sweet, short love story. Lord Gareth Worthe falls in love with his friend's younger, disabled sister. It's a delight.

Love it!

Ehhh, had some promise but was clearly rushed and totally impractical for the period. Not that it couldn't have happened, just unbelievable in 2 days .

I understand it's a novella but the story was way too rushed. The characters had barely any interaction before declaring themselves. I understand this is probably your way of introducing a new series which I very much look forward to. Keep writing! I own everything rose gordon.

The Perfect Lady Worthe by Rose Gordon Lord Gareth Lambert, Earl of Worthe has agreed to allow the use of his estate for his best friend's sister and her chaperone. It's the unexpected sister that came to his home that has him in a muddled state. So beautiful but...his friend's sister. Jane Cavanaugh has accepted her place in life. She could use a little less coddling from her family but they do love her. Now that her younger sister is about to have her Season, she must deal with the fact that Charlotte will most likely find a husband and move out of her life. And then what? I really enjoyed this novella, a fairly quick read but still a full story. Jane has a disability and the author did a good job of showing things from Jane's view, as well as how the other characters viewed her.
