J: UNFAIR!!!!! This book is also listed under this author's other name, Sharon Sala and it does not show that I have already purchased and read it. And Sala has been my favorite author; shame on you!

Do not understand the good reviews . This book was slow and quite boring, I couldn't wait to finish! Please stick with your virgin river type books which I enjoyed very much!

This book was great. Jonah is by far one of my favorite male hero in a book. The action never stops. I figured out the book, but I was still shocked in the end. If you like to read at all you must read this book.

I read this book last summer and it is still fresh im my memory. I fell in love with Jonah just as Macie did. I usually don't read these kind of books and was amazed. Anyone who seeks love would love this book and I would recommend it to any women.

Sixteen years ago, Felicity's lie ended her marriage to CIA agent Jonah Slade. Believing she had aborted their unborn child, he was very willing to end their marriage. Now, after a successful drug raid in South America, he learns that his exwife has been brutally murdered, and the child he thought dead kidnapped by an enemy who wants revenge on Slade for killing his son. Her sister, Macie, who was just a child when he last knew her, has grown up into a stronger woman than Felicity ever was, and is demanding that he help her find his son. As they work together to rescue the boy before vengeance is taken on him, Slade begins to wonder if he should have waited for the baby sister to grow up, for Macie is much more than Felicity ever could have hoped to be. Dangers all around them drive the couple together as this action packed, exciting romance races to its thrilling and touching conclusion. ***** Under any name, this author is guaranteed to give her readers an exciting story, heady romance, and a touching plot that will warm your heart. Slade is the older man that most of us dream about finding, not too old, but like fine wine, aged to perfection. His son looks to be someone who might grow up to be just like dad, so if the author reads this, please take the hint for a sequel. *****

I thought this book had everything you look for in a romance suspense story. The characters and their relationships were fully developed and believable. Definitely worth reading and a keeper.

Sixteen years ago in Bel Air, California, Jonah Slade is elated that his girlfriend Felicity Blaine carries his child and plans to propose. However, his bliss ends immediately when Felicity informs him that she aborted the baby and will stop seeing him. Jonah angrily leaves while Felicity knows her inability to stand up to her billionaire father Declyn ended the relationship though she lied about having the abortion............................... Over the past six months, CIA agent Jonah works undercover as a mercenary for Columbia drugpin Miguel Calderone. Jonah sets up the bust, watches Miguel's son Alejandro kill a friend, so he kills Alejandro. Miguel sees the incident and vows vengeance........................ Thugs invade the Blaine home killing Felicity, severely injuring Declyn, and kidnapping her son Evan. Felicity's sister Mercedes, estranged from her father, visits Jonah to enlist his help. He is stunned to learn he has a kid and plans to free him, as he understands Miguel's message, 'a son for a son'. As the rescue mission unfolds, Jonah and Macie, as he calls Mercedes, fall in love, but first they must save the teen and survive the mission before seeking anything long-term............................... THE PERFECT LIE is an exciting romantic suspense novel that readers will enjoy once Macie visits Jonah. The story line is loaded with action and a strong cast though one traitorous individual seems out of character. Jonah is a courageous protagonist and Evan is clearly his son though the two never met. Macie is a brave person not afraid of the truth even when it proves costly. Dinah McCall provides a taut thriller that the audience will welcome....................... Harriet Klausner
