Overview

A boxed set containing a pair of fast-paced romantic comedies with a nod to Jane Austen, both written by New York Times & USA Today bestselling author Marilyn Brant! These two light contemporary romances -- Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Match & Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Bet -- are companion novels but they can be enjoyed as stand-alone stories.

Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Match:
A single mother and an ER doctor meet on an Internet dating siteeach for reasons that have little to do with finding their perfect matchin this modern, Austen-inspired story. Its a tribute to the power of both pride and prejudice in bringing two people romantically together, despite their mutual insistence that they should stay apart
Would an Elizabeth Bennet by any other name be as appealing to a Darcy?
Beth Ann Bennet isnt looking for love. Shes an aspiring social worker using an online alias to study sex-role stereotypes. Dr. William Darcy isnt looking for love either. Hes just trying to fund his new clinic by winning a major bet. Both think Lady Catherines Love Match Website will help them get what they wantfast, easy and without endangering their hearts. Both are in for a big surprise.
Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Matchwhere true love is just a fib and a click away.

Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Bet:
The course of true love doesnt always run smooth -- not even for millionaire bachelors
Everyone thought Beth Ann Bennet and Dr. Will Darcy had an unexpected romance in Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Match. Now, Beths best friend, Jane Henderson, and Wills first cousin, Bingley McNamara, begin their own unlikely love story in Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Bet, which starts at the Darcy/Bennet wedding when they find themselves in the roles of maid of honor and best man for the newlyweds.
Jane is an interning school psychologist and a woman who wears an angelic mask in public, but shes not as sweet tempered as shed like everyone to believe. Turns out, she may have just crossed paths with the one person wholl unnerve her enough to get her to reveal her true self.
As for Bingley, hes a wealthy, flirtatious and compulsively social guru of finance, who likes to wager on stocks and, lets face it, on just about anything that strikes his fancy. But this dedicated ladies man may have finally met the woman wholl challenge his bachelor ways!
Pride, Prejudice and the Perfect Betwhere lifes biggest gamble is the game of love.

Story Excerpt:
When Beth looked up, the guy on the other side of the coffee shop was staring at her again. An assessing glance. Yep. The game was over before it had a chance to begin. Online dating was tricky. He might have liked her profile, but he must not have liked the reality.

Something about him struck her as odd, though. His email personality was so warm, so charming. This guy -- well, arrogant seemed to be a better descriptor.

She wondered what he'd do now. Ditch her? She grabbed her stereotypes list from her purse, scanning it covertly in case he worked up the nerve to come over before she approached him. A glimpse at her watch told her it was already ten minutes past one. When she looked back at his table, he was gone.

She sighed. Not good. Her final project was due in a few weeks, and she needed to cite concrete examples of Case Study #1's behavior, documented and dated over a period of thirty days. She didn't have time to start again with a new subject...and her little boy's future was at stake. She stood to go.

"So, are you the woman Lady Catherine thinks I'm destined for?" a deep voice with a laugh hidden in it whispered in her ear. She swiveled around and stared at the man behind her. He wasn't the guy with the newspaper, but he, too, looked like Will's photo. Only better. MUCH better.

"If so," he added, "I'm your perfect match.
