A draft evader, who poses as a Vietnam war hero, tries to join the Foreign Legion, but is rejected. Intent on fulfillment, but as a freelance photographer now, he follows the Legion to Africa and is transformed, body and soul.

About the Author
Chet Green was a U.S. Navy Journalist in SE Asia during the Vietnam War. Through the 1970s, he freelanced as a photographer/writer in the African Horn and the Sudan. His African experiences inspired much in the novel. Following Africa, he became on-camera/off-camera commercial talent between Detroit and Washington, DC. A sojourn in TV news led to a spot as a reporter in a Clint Eastwood movie. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he studied journalism. He publishes an ezine called Illumination Rounds.
