Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.

So, when an injury threatens to end Easton's season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it's not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather, his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.

Scout Dalton's out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.

And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can't want him. Not when it's her job to maintain the club's best interest, in regards to whether he's ready to play.

But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned?

About the Author

New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.

A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs and soccer practices, more often than not with her laptop in tow.

Since publishing her first book in 2013, K. has sold over one million copies of her books and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over twenty-five times.

In April, she’ll release The Player, the first in a two-book sports romance series (The Catch, book 2, will be released late June), with many more already outlined and ready to be written.

She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media or sign up for her newsletter to stay up to date on all her latest releases and sales:

I typically really enjoy this author 's books and this one wasn't different. I just truly dislike when I start a book and don't realize it ends with a cliffhanger. I don't want to start a series if I have to wait months for the next book. It's so frustrating when this happens. By the time the next book is released, I've lost interest.

Wow !!! What a start to a new series from K. Bromberg, if you love sports romance and baseball is your game this is a must read. This book blew me away, it has it all loveable characters, it's full of love, passion and it has a lot of intrigue. Easton Wylder a baseball superstar who is struggling to come back from a shoulder injury, the last chance for him is physio from the famous Dr Dalton (the best physical therapist in the game) but the Dr who turns up to treat him is the Doctors hot daughter Scout..... Scout is good at what she does but she is always been in her fathers shadow, this time round she needs to not only prove herself to Easton she needs to keep her fathers secrets. Will Easton trust Scout with his shoulder and ultimately his heart, Will Scout trust Easton with her fathers secrets ? or will their professional life win in the end...... What a brilliant start to what looks like another fantastic series from K. Bromberg, yes this book does have a cliffhanger but hopefully we don't have too long to wait for book 2.

What girl doesn't want a story about Sports and Romance? K. Bromberg hits a Homerun with The Player. It's powerful and grabs your full attention from page 1 and doesn't let go. Easton, "The Player", is injured and on the DL and Scout had been brought in to get him back in the game. The story is about family struggles, insecurities, Hot Baseball Players, overcoming fear and so much more???? It's steamy, has you laughing out loud then reaching for the tissues. I can't wait for The Catch!!!?????

I was not happy to find out I had to buy the next book to find out how it ends! I hate it when authors do this because now zip have to spend another $4.99 if I want to wrap it up. Otherwise, the book had a good storyline and I liked the characters. I enjoyed the sports theme as well since those are my favs.

Let me tell you something about this author, she really knows how to get you with a cliffhanger! I had assumed, yeah-yeah, I know what assuming does, that this was going to be a series where each book was about a different player on the team. Just so you know, I was wrong. The way this ended, GAH! The narrators were some of my favorites, Andi Arndt and Joe Arden. I had to stop in the middle to listen to another audiobook by the author that I was supposed to review by a certain date. But when I started listening to this again I was hooked right back in. Not to mention I'm still a little unsure about Santiago. I thought maybe one thing was going to happen, but then at the end there was a whole twist that I did NOT see coming. And wow was it a good one. Of course I had already used my February credit on the Meghan March audiobook I'm listening to currently, so I had to wait for my March credit to get the sequel to this one. Which I cannot wait to get started on and find out what is going to happen!

I get extremely upset when there is no warning a book ends in a cliffhanger. I feel I've been scammed. I appreciate the honesty in samples that let the reader know what they are buying.

This book is the first in a duet. While I'm not a fan of cliff hangers (and there definitely is one in this book) it was a good read. There is a hot baseball player as well as a tough as nails physical therapist in the lead, as well as a bad guy. Lots of secrets, as well as action. I was interested from beginning to end. The only downfall to the story, for me, was the fact that the story ends on a cliff hanger, and there was no resolution, either in the relationship or the other issues in the story.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty, he is also cocky, handsome, sexy, and trying to get back on the field after a injury to his shoulder. Scout Dalton is just the person to help him with that, she is a feisty, beautiful, and talented physical therapist. Easton has his doubts about her, but he will try anything to get back in the game. Both Easton and Scout are trying to follow in the footsteps of their father's and it seems both of them have some mighty big shoes to fill. Baseball has never been sexier, the chemistry between Easton and Scout is off the charts, and be warned once you pick this one up, you will not want to put it down. There is also the matter of this book ending with a little cliffhanger. Oh well just makes anticipation for the next book all the more exciting, cannot wait. Five stars for this one!!!

Love K. Bromberg and her style of writing. The characters are believable and you fall in love with each one. This book is no different then her top rated Driven Series. But hold on to your hats. There is a hit you into left field cliffhanger. So wait to read this first half of the game if you do not want to wait through the 7th inning stretch. 2nd half of the game, The Catch comes out June 29. If you are in to long games, then start reading The Player for a home run. She hit this one out of the park.

If Kristy Bromberg writes it, I'll read it! The Player is the first book in a duet about a major league baseball player and the physical therapist who rehabs him after a possible career ending injury to his shoulder. I'll be honest, sports romances aren't necessarily my thing, as I don't follow too many major league sporting events. But, like my first sentence says, if K. Bromberg is the author, I'll go out of my way to read anything by her! Bromberg rocketed to fame as an indie author a few years back with her Driven trilogy, now a series. Her way with words puts most authors to shame. The eloquence and emotion in her words, draw out every possible feeling in her readers, so that even if baseball isn't your thing, you don't care, because the story is what captures you, not the setting itself. The story begins as Scout meets her "Player", Easton Wylder, for whom she is responsible for putting back on the field on a certain timetable. Scout has demons in her past, and tries hard to keep her distance emotionally from this larger than life athlete whose career lies in her hands. However, Easton is no stranger to demons in his life either and at first, the two clash. Yet, as time goes by the relationship strengthens and Easton breaks through Scout's protective wall. It is at this point, when the story really began to grab hold of me and urge me on. To say more would be to give away a huge cliffhanger. Book Two comes out in June and this reader cannot wait!

K. Bromberg has given us another fabulous read with The Player. Easton Wylder is a professional baseball player and on top of his game, until an injury by another player sidelines him. Doc Dalton has the reputation of being the best in the business getting athletes back in the lineup. His daughter Scout Dalton has worked with her dad for years rehabbing athletes. Her father assigns her the task of rehabbing Easton and to prove that she is not only up for the challenge, but quite capable and good at what she does. Her success will determine whether or not her father gets a contract with the Aces, the one team he has never worked for. Will Scout be able to rehab Easton on schedule or is her father always going to be chasing that one team to complete his career. This was an great story. A story that will have you laughing at the wittiness and banter, and falling in love with Easton Wylder and Scout Dalton, while cheering them on to make the deadline. It's a story of trust, love, friendship, fighting for what you want, and not compromising who you are to reach your goals. The Player is a must read. I enjoyed this book so much, I have already read it a second time and will most definitely read it again.
