Overview

A 338 page coffee table book of poetry, essays, and one-act plays, accompanied by original photography.
A collection of Kendra Muecke's writing from 2008 - 2017.
Pieces written primarily in:
Houston, TX - Malibu, CA - Venice Beach, CA - Denver, CO.

It was a concept,
Just a thought,
To become organized,
not stuck between motive and plot
-so, I welcome you, to my hood,
----→My Writer's Block

The existentialist decides to stop acknowledging her own shadows,
She then forgets to cast darkness
onto all sundials;
Timeless.
---

Part one of me, myself,
remembers past intention.
I receive what I am,
and I sow of what is given.
Organically speaking,
I shall ramble on through;
pardon my bluntness,
but the truth is not suddenly new.
Patterns of my speech mixed
with the use of specific conjunctions--
Hell! If it were 1942,
I'd reap a paragraph of repercussions!
Sentenced to writing a dialogue
with no lines,
the text we speak in conversation
reflects the subtext of our daily lives.
